Ok. Just so you all know, this is a rant. So I reserve the right to ignore anything you have to say that I don't like. Keep that in mind.

 

 

OK WTF. Lexicus Runewright? Easy peesy. Rammernaut(sp) Easy Astea Frost web? Easy. Stomp? Easy. Ice Bones/Icefiend? Damn easy.

 

 

GLUTTONOUS BEHEMOTH. [bleep]ing impossible.

 

Every time I get it I die 4-5 times. I generally wear kata pl8 + legs, a full inven of salve eels, melee, pots, def pots, gorg spear (p++) (B) on slash. With pray mage and piety. If I used that setup on ANY other boss I would kill them without eating once. But with the Gluttonous I don't [bleep]ing understand. I will either not hit it for 15+ turns (not an exaggeration) or it will hit 700-800 damage back to back with range. RANGE. So I switch to range pray, bam 300 mage attack. Its flipping impossible, last lvl I had no kata ore so I had to fight it with only kata legs, also I had no lycopus so there was no sup melee. I died 16 times I think, the death penalty was 75%. Wth? Keep in mind most monsters are 140 ish at my level, time and time again Gluttonous Behemoth is 230 or so, that *has* to be a glitch, that soundds like a duo.

 

I HATE THIS MONSTER.

 

Now, I said previously I have the right to ignore comments, I simply mean stupid [wagon] comments like "maybe u shoulndt do dung" or "maybe u should get ur cmb lvls up" because those help no one. However, if you have constructive criticism (such as... IS slash the best method?) I will gladly accept it.

Useing veg during boss fights really help but you need train mage a little or simple use potions. Sometimes you get spectacular win and sometimes boss kick your azz, even if you beat him with no problems before.

The puzzle is also quite messed up too. If your friend leaves (which is fine, real life > runescape) it is impossible to beat the behemoth. Aside from that.. I don't have any problem with him, mostly because he is usually 130ish for me.

Gluttonous Behemoth is best killed with a crush weapon, although it is also weak to stab. Your best bet is to use metal armor + mage prayer. If you can't get any Katagon ore on a level, mine/buy some lesser ore and make more metal armor. It won't offer a huge amount of protection, but it will help.

 

I haven't had too much of a problem with Gluttonous Behemoth, but then again I'm 110 combat and level 29 dungeoneering, so I'm not fighting one that is as powerful as you are. My points above, however, are confirmed by Rune Wiki.

 

Now the Bloodchiller, that makes me want to pull out my hair.

Odd that you are having so much trouble with what is generally a fairly simple boss. Though the level 230 version (I've gotten it too) can be tough.

 

You may find my boss writeup helpful. But some quickie advice for those who don't want all that detail....

 

1. As Omali said, melee armor and prot/maged works well. So does ranged armor with prot/ranged.

2. Use a beast of burden. Fill it with food. That alone will help a great deal. Remember you can also grow potatoes and mushrooms and combine them with fish to make much better healing items.

3. You're level 50 Dun so you should have a weapon and armor bound, no?

4. Drop a gatestone in the combat spot so you can get back quickly before it heals up.

You have enough levels for a promethium spear (p++), so go on a chat like Dung Smith and tell them to make you one.

 

The GB is weak to stab and crush, btw.

I have never died on this boss. I use full argonite equipment with katagon longsword, melee and def potion and piety prayer and must only eat 2 bouldabass. And that only happens if the monster happens to land few hits.

Yep. I was using the wrong kind of attack. I attacked a lvl 200 something with gorg pl8, gorg full helm, gorg spear p++ on crush style, with mage pray + piety, and melee fam. Easy as crap. Ate like 3 salves?

This topic has been resolved lOl. The wholeproblem was I was using slash with kata armor + range prayer lol. I can kill this guy so easy.

 

ANd you do realize if you have suckier stats you get a suckier monster XD

Also: Bosses scale by level. I highly doubt you could solo the behemoth he gets with your "much suckier stats"

It's not cabbage. It makes sense. You're supposed to stand between the carcass and the behemoth. And as far as I can tell, they don't scale...I get level 180+'s pretty often at (now) 114.

Used to be 248 max or something, now they don't count summoning anymore it's 208 or 209 (idk which one) for me. Bit of a shame really, at least the 248 posed a challenge sometimes but you can just afk the 208 with soul split on.
