Same... Right as you just figured out how to kill it (it would have worked)

Didn't lose boat... I clicked 'Log in from where you logged off'

I guess it doesn't let you spawn in water.

It's a REALLY big shaft.

I didn't catch fire, I used the can of hairspray as a flamethrower and pointed it at my arm.

how are you going to ignore my posts when I'm offering to let you live as my vassal in two weeks time?

Inheritance is done through the runestone in the starter room.

Also, "Bladed Stinkwraith."

And that guy stole your boat with the boar in it.

That guy was the reason I died too.

I can't believe how noob I just went. O_O, well I'm going to make the new character, and go to sleep.

There's no room there. XD, anyone willing to revive me?

I need a bone saw still. I see all those bones in your cupboard stork :shame:

Those are from my revenge against nature. Which I am still instigating, despite the fact that I have a metric carpton of leather. I'll give you one anyways, since yer new and rabbits are rare(ish).

And I'd bet that Res got that bone saw off some poor sap who hadn't managed to make a claim yet.

On the very first day, I found a Russian camp and then stole all their rabbit furs, taproots, bread, nettle, and boats. :v

I then found another camp and talked with one of the locals. I stole her bone saw after she insulted me because I spoke English.

Stuff that isn't on claim is fair game.

I know, but it doesn't mean that doing it isn't a bit mean.

Also, do not automatically assume that someone with a bear cape claiming to be a hunter for a village can actually hunt bears. I lost a bear because the guy who came along and offered to help ran after it and chased it away into the mainland of the continent. <_< Was only the SECOND FREAKING BEAR I'VE EVER SEEN.... lost to incompetence and the fact that I had to AFK while aiming...

This world will see raids everywhere. Pacifists and women die first because they don't fight back.

Point is, you gotta be a hardass when it comes to politics and foreign relations because other people will [bleep] you over first if they get the chance. Only the strong will survive.

There's someone with a Pine tree hat wandering around our village. He asked me if it was my place, said we were neighbors, and resumed going in and out of houses. Any clue who he is?

What skill should I work on? I just bought archery, and Im not sure what to do next.

Or...You can be generally nice.

Given a small amount of luck (as we have had so far) people won't instantly kill you.

Though ultimately you will die because ultimately you will meet Sere's brand of omnicidal kleptomanic.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

Raging a random person...

On the plus side, suprise, on the negative side, you can't kill then...no guarentee the reverse is true...better to ignore them until they become a threat, then kill them or run away if you can't kill them.

Or just kill them before they become a threat. It's a tactic I learned from the US government called a pre-emptive strike.

Besides, 9 times out of 10, a person rummaging through a house (especially since there hasn't been enough time for abandoned settlements to really start appearing) is looking for things to steal. Best to handle them as if they are a thief.

Kill them with rage...how...exactly?

You live near a swamp and body dump before they wake up?

Pre-emptive strikes only work when you are gonna win right now...See Operation Barbarossa, The Finnish-Russian Winter War, Pearl Habour, Napleon's march into Russia and World War 1 for more information on what happens when this isn't the case.

I would also say that a pre-emptive strike does not involve:

A) Bombing a country for 50 years until it finally attacks you and then saying 'Look, pre-emptive strike, if we hadn't bombed them then they would be far more powerful.'

Nor does it involve:

B) Bombing a country after its neighbour bombed you...

Both of which seem to be American 'Pre-Emptive Strike' tactics.

The only country to effectively use a pre-emptive strike I can think of is Israel.

Blitzkrieg doesn't really count, since none of the countries were gonna attack Germany.

But anyway...Killing someone without murder...not easy...not advisable.

Picking a fight with someone when you don't have murder, easy...still not advisable.

Besides, 9 times out of 10, a person rummaging through a house (especially since there hasn't been enough time for abandoned settlements to really start appearing) is looking for things to steal.

If there was a person, who you killed before they did anything, then you are the one who will write the history that said they were a thief...

Hardly the most unbiased survey...

But, then again...If you learned it from a Government that storms into random countries, overthrows the elected leaders, installs a dictator and calls it liberation...Its kinda self explaintory.

Well I knew you wouldn't agree. I know how you hate facing facts.

You can kill people with rage by constantly knocking them out. It takes longer but is doable so long as you camp the body. Easily, unless you're full of fail and they manage to run off. In which case you should buy swimming and kill yourself, I guess. Because you suck.

Also, you're running a city-state in a hardcore game that centers around warfare and the struggle to survive. It's backwards to have an idealist policy that states that you should treat people fairly. It'll end in the bloody downfall of your city-state, guaranteed. People don't like pacifists, and some factions even explicitly target such groups in order to get an easy kill. Letting a potential thief continue to live and rummage through your belongings because you haven't actually SEEN him take anything is included in what I just said. It's a lot better to assume he's a thief and kill him off or at least maim him so he runs away. Otherwise, you might as well bend over and take an iron sword up the ass...

Archi's running it? Sorry, but I don't think so. Arch left with Nex a while ago; I've been managing (read: telling people "BEAR OVAR HERE AVOID PLEASE") the town. And not all that well, given all the thieving and crap that's happening.

And my policy toward foreigners is: Talk to 'em first, if they seem to be decent people, then let them live. If they start trying to steal or pull some other crap, DEATH RAINS DOWN. As soon as I get Rage and maybe Murder.

By the way, I might be moving to the larger village down the river, near the Hub.
