Straight marriages have gay children so I don't see why gay marriages can't have straight children. Besides, it doesn't even matter what your parents are. You're going to like penis or vagina (both or neither) no matter what the hell other people tell you.

As for being psychologically affected, I know of three different kids my age who have either two moms or two dads. None of them hate gays, do poorly in school, or are otherwise negatively affected by their parents.

Anything on the impact from their peers or the parents of their peers, though? It would make sense for that to be a source of bullying.

I'm not sure if any studies have been done on it, but out of my friends, none of them get bullied or have low self-esteem.

A kid who was adopted by two gay men in Alabama and is constantly being badgered by his peers for it isn't going to grow up as well as if he were in the care of heterosexual parents, or some might say he'd be better off psychologically in an orphanage. However as long as their is a surplus of adoptable kids I'd support gay adoptions.

Exactly. It'll only be a problem until public acceptance grows. Which, in some areas, is happening or has happened.

Plus bullying is a dumb reason to ban it anyway. You're just rewarding the bigot. "Oh noes that guy is different, lets ban him so that he won't be made fun of!".

 

Protip: Everyone gets picked on in school. It doesn't mean we should stop having babies, it means we should stop having terrible parents.

Apparently, it's not improbable being gay is a result of... simply genes.

I can imagine that a childs peers would have some kind of reaction if they knew/discovered/whatever that their friend had homosexual parents, but there you go.
