Wars reset armies....If it takes 15 years to build an army on 10 million, then it will take 7.5 to rebuild that army after you get another 10 million...

If you built an army of 20 years on a 10 million a reset budget then your forces outnumber the ones who fought a tonne of wars for an extra 10 million.

Only if every soldier dies. If I go to war with a 30m army, half of them die, or even 3/4, I still have enough of an army to hold out for a while atleast.

But yeah Dusty, I do say alot of useless stuff...Throwing a pack of cards at someone to knock them out is a very useless move in winning at poker, since it is not a valid move, nor is it a particually good strategy in life as the people around will probably intervene and if they don't you still have an unconscience/possibly dead body to deal with.

 

However those are problems to deal with in the future...kinda like the problem of what happens when they discover you cheated...or what happens when you get home and find it being repossessed....All of these are possible problems that people do not face when making decisions.

Hence by acting outside of norms I bypass these problems, create problems that people do not expect, and thus am at a tactical advantage in dealing with them.

 

Which is a long winded way of saying, some things you just don't understand.

In a camp of over 100,000, in the middle of enemy territory, - with night watchmen posted as you said - ALL but 10,000 of them were asleep. Nor did they have their weapons by them. Nor their clothes. Nor were they even trained, they made breakfast while the mongols rained [cabbage] down on them. The [bleep]? If you're on the march you don't sleep for 8 hours, and with scouts scouring the area Mongols don't just suddenly show up with huge siege engines in a matter of minutes.

I never penalised them for sleeping. It was a harmless addition.

 

Basically, here's what happens if they aren't sleeping:

Europeans huddled in a camp

Various Mongolian Scare Tactics

Camp bursts into flames

Europeans fail to put out the flames and have to leave the camp

Mongolians conduct short raid

 

There were probaly a lot of other things you could've been nitpicky about, but sleeping was not one that affected anything. :thumbup:

Also, I will be redoing attacks, because I realized I was using outdated figures. It'll be finished in the afternoon, so you can send the updated reports for a plan in the evening.

I haven't balanced carracks yet, but I believe it is about the time that two masted cogs and galleys are released. They are roughly 10% stronger or so, and is the same price as the one masted varieties. They can travel farther and faster as well. :thumbup:

In other news two masted cogs and galleys are shown to be too heavy and will capsize, causing rising sea levels, causing Florida to flood.
