If you want cash, ZMI is not the best idea - you really only break even with that method, there isn't much profit involved. If the reason you're training RC is cash, then Grahhk Natures. It's somewhat decent XP and pretty good cash.

ZMI is already slightly profitable at his level, unless rune prices have absolutely tanked . Also, terrorbirds suck.

 

Use a parasite/lurker, buy a ton of fires for the zmi banker, take the short path to the altar with a prot pray on. The casting animation/cd at zmi takes less time than other altars, so remember to craft faster. If you're having trouble getting enough laws/astrals at your level for the zmi tele, just carry a stack, or use a decent jewelery port if you prefer that.

 

Mouskeys are very helpful.

 

If you're looking for good cash instead of exp, abyss deaths til 82, then astrals.

I guess banking at zmi would be faster but teleport to ourania -> craft -> moonclan teleport -> bank -> repeat works for me.

Also using the full bank method speeds things up.

Don't do ZMI. I have trained a lot of rcing and I have never liked that altar. You make much better profit of for example graahking natures.

Well the usefulness of the ZMI altar is completely based on if you prefer best xp (ZMI altar) or best profit, because ZMI is the fastest xp, without question and is also probably the worst (maybe) source of income from runecrafting.

Nope. Steam runes and smoke runes are the best rc xp until the mid 80s, when ZMI becomes better.

 

And anything that costs money to train is worst income from runecrafting. That would be steam runes, which run a fairly considerable loss.

Abyssing deaths is fairly similar exp to graahking, depending on the amount of fails you get, it can go either way. It's generally more cash though. If you're not going to zmi, I would abyss deaths til 82~.

 

I'm thinking he means time per trip, speed wise. As in starting from the first bank at the start of the run - to the bank at the end of the run.

The problem is, I don't think you can maximize profit/hr AND xp/hr. I could be wrong, but knowing RS, you'd have to pick just one. My guess is that natures are more profit, death is more exp.

Like I said, both runes give different amounts of exp. Comparing the speed of the 'trips' makes no sense, it's not a good way to determine anything, exp or gp per hour.

 

The problem is, I don't think you can maximize profit/hr AND xp/hr. I could be wrong, but knowing RS, you'd have to pick just one. My guess is that natures are more profit, death is more exp.

 

Nats are rarely better money than deaths. They're inferior at 65 to 80ish, at which point astrals become a very good option. They're also worse in the high 90's (at least at 99, I've heard 95+), where the death multiplier really shines.

You're correct in that sense, yes, but i'm speaking simply in a general sense - speed is immensely important with a skill like this.

Try both abyssing deaths and graahking. No matter what the accepted rates are, your own rates will be the deciding factor.

 

If you're looking for the best method that provides both exp and cash, deaths > nats at your level, as they offer significantly more money, while the exp difference (if any) will be marginal. Once you hit 82, do astrals if you've done the lunar quests. Pick up nats at 91, then transition to deaths again at 95-97.

Abyss Death runes to 82, and then Astrals to 91, and from then on it's Grahhks to 99.

To be honest ever since everything rose in prices RC'ing isnt the crazy moneymaker it used to be a couple years ago. Double nats can easily be matched by even barrows and is easily beaten by bigger bosses like Dks, TDS, and Gwd.

 

But if you're really set on getting 91 rc best overall imho is to do ZMI to 91 which would profit you maybe 2m and then do double nats the rest of the way. That way while you're not making alot of money at the start it can be offset by the increased time you're spending at 91 rc and making faster money/

This has actually been helpful to me, thanks. I also didn't mean to have caps lock on before...But ZMI for me is a money loss at my level, plus since I will never level up summoning, many alternative methods are crossed out for me. I forgot about that bit. But more power to you, rune crafting is a long to do skill.
