Nice Priorities, Jagex.

So, i got into an argument a few months ago, around December IIRC. The person who i was arguing with had been ranting about how they botted and never got banned. I started criticising him and pointing out how he shouldn't be shooting his mouth off about using some crappy program made by someone else and taking credit for doing something worthless. He then went on to say how he had made it himself, and that it was 100% human-like and undetectable. I then mentioned how bots at the time were unable to identify 3D objects, which i believe was true.

HE REPORTED ME?

Yep, he reported me for "Encouraging Rule Breaking". I merely stated what i believed to be true. I had also reported him after he mentioned that he was botting his account.

I log back on around 2 hours afterwards and i have been temporarily muted, yet this jackoff was still in the same clan chat shooting his mouth off? What the utter [bleep]?

How is it that i am muted for NOT breaking the rules, whereas he admits to breaking a major rule and he has every right to play the game to it's fullest?

This may be a bit late to be ranting, but still... Jagex need to quit [bleep]ing about the small offenses, that i would like to point out i had never committed in the first place, and start doing something about the people that are actually ruining the game. Or alternatively, they could stop claiming that they read every appeal carefully before the come to a decision.

Sure let's make actual people check reports, if you want them to hire 500 more people and members to cost 10 bucks each.

500 people? Skim reading through reports could get at least 500 done per hour per person. Lower the character limit and lessen the amount of low-level offenses leading to bans. Perhaps if Jagex cared more for their users then they would have more money and would be able to reduce membership fees.

Omali, this isn't necessarily about my unfair mute, it is more about how Jagex can be so unbelievably unfair/claim to read every report.

Unfortunately, most problems in runescape are caused by bots.

It was a botter that reported you.

It was a bot that failed at checking whether you had done something or not.

It was a bot that failed at seeing that he admitted to botting.

If you appealed, it was a bot that rejected your appeal, and even though I don't know whether you appealed or not, I know it would have been rejected by the bot.

Now you see that it was not a co-incidence, that's what bots do, they damage the game.

DOWN WITH THE BOTS!

I don't encourage botting, but bots drive the price of raw goods down, which is good for players wishing to train fletching, prayer, herblore, FM, etc.

More profit from basic resource gathering skills = More money = No need for excessively cheap raw goods while giving people a good way to make money. There is no up-side to botting.

Right, but high levels can make up to a 1M on average at Barrows. High levels can make 700k plus crafting nats. High levels can make 600k plus killing blue/green dragons. Raw material collection is not good moneymaking in ANY case, even if there were no bots. With a few exceptions, like Rocktails and rune mining.

It may not be comparable to other methods but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be an option. Barrows and nature rune crafting have high requirements to make them efficient, making it impossible for lower levels to make a decent amount. If there weren't bots lowering prices, the lower level players would be able to make MORE money than they do, not more than all methods.

Also, you say that high levels can make fast money, so why is it such an issue to spend a little more money on the raw materials to level up the skills you mentioned?

DOWN WITH THE BOTS!

Be careful, this witch hunt you're on may lead to disastrous results. I think most of the witches you catch tend to be little kids in halloween costumes confused as to why they are being thrown into the water and told to float.

1) No, it was a human.

2) You have no proof, no one does. Maybe it was just a bloke who was mad at the fact that he gained 20 lbs, and decided to not let any appeals go through that day.

3) Ummm... yh. See line 2

4) Read line 2. This is easy :)

5) No, actually, nothing is "damaging" the game. It depends on what kind you mean.

Down with the witch hunts, they stopped for a reason.

Im pretty sure hes calling the automated report checking system Jagex uses bots. Along with comparing macros players use and saying they both ruin the game. I could be completely wrong though its not exactly the clearest thing ive read

"It was a botter that reported you."

That sentence doesn't really make sense IMO. Does he mean that a person that has used bots to train his account reported you or that a 'working' bot right-clicked on your name, remembered the insane combination of capital i's, lowercase l's etc then clicked the report button?

Yeah, thats the same one i saw. I'm fairly certain thats genuine, it has the same GUI as i've seen in other videos (The run script box).

He reported one person...

Also, you can't see his cursor, so he could easily just have done the clicking/typing by himself.

Some of the stuff they can do now would make something as simple as reporting easily bottable. Also if Jagex is as stupid as they seem somtimes, doing this would probably be undetectable and result in a silver crown.

I loled.

If a 95% failure rate for reports gvae you Pmod then it wouldnt be anything special.

O.O

If you were 11 or 12 years old, you'd find it funny too.
