It's a nice pic and style, I think a small adjustment to make it fit more its style would be to make the upper parts of the arms slightly thinner because according to this style it seems things get bigger as they extend out (nothing wrong with that, just would follow the pattern better). I'm not sure if it would look better but trying it out couldn't hurt. :)

well I don't know anything about armour, weapons or shields.. Just guess work.. It was worth a go..

for shield to be 'right' either u need arm in front of it going into like a double strap that holds it to the forearm

Well, it looks nice. It kinda looks like a cartoon on nickelodeon or cartoon network, something like that. Though i must say, i really liked your old style a lot better, but since this is just a basic sketch type of thing and it isnt shaded, there isnt much to CC on. Try shading it and lets see how it looks :P
