Rune mace

Its got potential in f2p since it can easier crush through full rune armor...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Its got a decent prayer bonus too (+4) and yet its strength is a tad too low to make it an effective weapon...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

perhaps an idea to up its strength to +41 instead of +36?

What would the change from +36 to +41 do? I know it'd raise the strength, but in terms of hard hitting, what would it do...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, [i think] the mace is used for the prayer bonus, not the weapon itself.

and +5 strength would make it have a higher max hit (still 1 below the scimi, and it would attack slower too... but it crushes quite easily through full rune, since full rune def total = 209 against slash, and 192 against crush)

The mace's advantage is the prayer bonus.

Personally, I would rather the Rune Warhammer get a higher attack potential. I've only seen one rune warhammer in my entire career being used.

Really? I always kind of liked them. I don't use them, but I think they look pretty good.

Maces below Dragon are usually not going to be used because a Scimitar or a Longsword are much better weapons, and are faster. Even if you add +5 strength, it wont make too much of a diffrence. I would not use a mace under rune because of the prayer bonus alone.

Give it an even high prayer bonus (maybe a bit of strength too), and we'll have a new sub-class: monks/nuns!

But really no one uses a rune mace because it is only useful for prayer and the only people who use prayer that much are usaully on p2p and because of that they use dragon which is so much better, and inexpensive.
