Combat Potion?

Featured Replies

This may have been though of/suggested before, but if not, im suggesting it. Why not make a combat pot? Now techincally, its not a standard herblore pot, but actually a combination of an atk def and str pot, and there could be super combat pots too. All that happens is you use an attack/strength/defense pot with an empty vial, and it puts one dose into it. Then repeat for others, or maybe it will only be able to be done if you already have like one dose of each left. And when all 3 are combined you get a 1 dose combat pot, that raises all atk def and str by what a dose of each pot would normally. It's basically just a space saver.

I dont like the idea, though I cant think of the words to describe why... And combat pot? That sounds as if it raises your combat.

Well in theory it does, just as using each pot seperately theoretically does. I swear I've been in an area(when i was f2p ages ago in rs1) where i was using str pots, when i used it, the monsters stopped attacking me. Thats cos when you hit a certain level(combat? attack? strength?) Certain things stop attacking you. But it was mainly just as a space saver idea for someone who might just want to go and do a spot of training, and can take up 1 space instead of 3.

Raising your combat level? That's kind of pointless, because then you'd need to raise your combat stats. So you may as well just use a super set?

that is stupid and pointless

that is stupid and pointless

Why?

I think it's a great idea because it would be easier to pot up when training.

hey if you guys aren't reading and think this is a potion that raises your combat level (which is very very pointless in the Wilderness), you're wrong.

It is a potion that raises your attack, strength and defense all together... that's right, it raises all three.

I disagree though... Zamorak's Potion and Saradomin's Brew all raise more than one combat stat and lowers another or more. This potion would probably make both of these obsolete (if they aren't already), as it doesn't have any side effects.

Another reason I disagree is because it gives warriors more inventory spaces when Pking, and I don't want that. =)

Why do you resist? My experiments are only helping humanity push the boundaries of the Art of Toxicology... you should be proud to be one of my victims.

Raising your combat in the wildy? More vulnerable to higher levels

And besides, Jagex likes players to waste their inventory with THREE pots

Exactly the God drinks would be pointless then. The price of stat raise...

Raising your comabt level might be useful when fighting monsters... you raise your combat above their aggression level.

But that only works if you are not already engaged in combat... and like people said, it is pointless.

Agreed. Not to mention it only benefits warriors... I mean mages need lots of runes so they have much less inventory space than warriors for food and stuff already, and you're making a warrior's inventory even bigger?

jeez, i think only like 3 people who posted here actually bothered to read the post

Please note that junkieman mean it raises all of your combat stats, not combat lvl and it would be better if it only contain one dose per pot so it saves 3 drinking times the monster can attack you.

My first story on Tip.It :D

The SoulStones' War

I disagree unless this type of potion actually benefits mages and rangers too.

well it wont, theres already mage and range potions(i think theres a mage pot). This idea is not bringing anything new into the game

Junkieman608.png

Well, the real main problems with it is that it only benefits warriors; if it raised your attack, strength, magic, defence, prayer, and archery levels, it might be useful, but otherwise, it is completely unbalanced; some ways to fix this:

First off, perhaps we should just have the idea of a "combat potion" not be a combination of potions at all, but instead it would just be an extremely, high level potion that was very rare, but quite useful; when drunk, it could, say, raise your levels that you use in combat (and perhaps your hit-points also) one level each; when you actually use a weapon to attack something, it would divert all of the points into oen stat, namely the stat that you were using; if you were using a bow, it would divert all of the excess stat points (which would be 5 or 6) into archery, the same for mage, and if you were using a hand-to-hand weapon, it could divert the levels into whichever type of attack you were using (crushing, pointed, etc.)

Like the idea? It think that it would be a bit better than the one that was originally suggested.

thats a good idea, i can imagine lots of critscisms from people of it though, being too powerful. I think the concept of mine has been completely lost, it was meant ONLY as a space saver, and its effects are actually all already do-able from current potions in the game.
