Slayer tasks

Raging nonsense ahead:

WHY IN THE [bleep]ING HELL DO I KEEP GETTING THESE GOD AWFUL [bleep]ING TASKS!? WHAT THE [bleep]!? THIS [cabbage] MAKES NO [bleep]ING SENSE! [bleep]!

That's better.

My last 6 or 7 tasks have gone something like this: abberant spectres(skip), bloodvelds(skip), greater demons(thanks for the easy XP), abberant spectres(skip), bloodvelds(skip), abberant spectres(out of points now, so I cannoned them for a massive loss of money thanks to MTK breaking herbs), nechryaels(skip), steel dragons(out of points again). What the [bleep]ing hell is this [cabbage]? This [cabbage] makes me want to stop slaying all together. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

l2nothatesomanyslayertasks

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

If you want money go tds/gwd/dks. Slayer is for getting slayer experience, and all those tasks you got are great tasks.

I don't do bosses. Never enjoyed it, probably never will. Slayer is both my experience and my money. It's also one of the few fun things in this game. Until I get [cabbage] like this, that is.

Go to what you consider a good task

Camp it

Slayer is for getting slayer experience, not money.

Edit:

Or alternatively, if you say that slayer gives variety:

Take all the good tasks that you like to do

Count them

Assign each one of them a number

Go to www.random.org

Get a random number between 1 and the number of the monsters you decided are good

Find out what monster the RNG assigned

Go to http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Kuradal

Find out how many monsters kuradal gives for your task

Use www.random.org to generate another random number to get the number of kills in your task

Do your task

My thoughts on your tasks:

Abberant spectres: I personally am iffy with them, sometimes I skip, sometimes I do. I never cannon, though. I don't really give a damn about the money if the task bores me. Plus, with the MTK glitch screwing with herb prices... well, I suppose you could just keep the herb drops and make em into potions for personal use, but... not everyone can/wants to do herblore, or use super attack/strengths (I use extremes, so... already stockpiled).

Bloodvelds: Again, another somewhat boring, but decent xp, task. I do mutated velds (again, no cannon, but I might start turmoiling them if I ever get another veld task). Only really good for xp and green charms.

Greater demons: Decentish xp, and a few crimson charms. Downside is they can be crowded in Kura's dungeon if you're on at the wrong times. Easy enough task though, once you get a spot.

Nechryael: Bit more difficult task, but plenty of crimson charms and fairly good xp. Plus, plenty of seed drops and a couple rune boots.

Steel dragons: This I know my opinion is a bit skewed on, since I have super antis, but honestly, I enjoyed metal dragon tasks even before I had them :P I know plenty of other people hate/block em, though.

Anyway, we all have strings of annoying, irritating, crowded tasks that we really, really don't want to bother with, but... we're kinda stuck doing them anyway if we want to maintain our task streak. All we can do is suck it up and hope for a good task. Eventually. Generally, I try to suck up as many bad tasks as possible, get a nice big pile of slayer points, then I'll start knocking off tasks I don't wanna touch at that time. Of course, there aren't many tasks that I absolutely refuse to do (aquanites I stupidly unlocked, and hellhounds are my current block list, with terror dogs going on there as soon as I get a task), but there are usually a couple that I just "meh, don't wanna bother right now *skip*"

Also, all of my money comes from slayer and farming, so I know how that feels. At least you have the ability to try boss hunting, I can't even try with my dialup internet. And yes, it does still exist if you live out in the middle of nowhere.

I failed to mention that my... random canceling of tasks because "I don't feel like doing it" expands to some of the most profitable tasks that other slayers would likely hit me over the head for canceling :P

Such as... spirit mages, any type of strykewyrm, blue dragons, maybe black dragons... well, you get the idea. The only super profitable task I won't skip are abby demons. If I get those, I'll go do something else till it's a better time of day and the crowds die down to do my task :P

I also flat out refuse to cancel iron/steel/mithril dragons, or skeletal wyverns. I'll do those every single time I get them.

Yes, I'm weird when it comes to metal dragons.

I'll give my opinion as well:

Abby specs: I don't like them, but are amazing profit w/o cannon, and you break even with cannon, with amazing slay xp. SO I do them.

Velds: Hate em, however, the mutated bloods I thinka re the fastest slayer xp in the game, right? Its honestly amazing how fast the xp is. Sometimes I skip though.

Greater: I always skip, not sure why, easily afkable. still.

Steels: I do em, I just got a task of 99. Should take me about.... 45 mins.

I have all the 99s, and have been playing since 2001. Comped 4/30/15

My Araxxi Kills: 459::Araxxi Drops(KC):

Araxxi Hilts: 4x Eye (14/126/149/459), Web - (100) Fang (193)

Araxxi Legs Completed: 5 ---Top (69/206/234/292/361), Middle (163/176/278/343/395), Bottom (135/256/350/359/397)
Boss Pets: Supreme - 848 KC

If you play Xbox One - Add me! GT: Urtehnoes - Currently on a Destiny binge

XP: Armoured zombies or zombie skeletons

Charms: Waterfiends, Rock lobsters, Scabarites, Wyverns

Money: Boss hunting, merchanting

I really hate camping out at one monster for a long time. Variety and not being bored out of my mind > some extra xp/hr.

When I need the charms, I'll get them. Until then, I'll build them up through Slayer.

I don't do bosses and I've never been one to merchant.
