Jen impales the bat with her cello's endpin before rampaging around once again.

i walk down the sewer, with the poison ball floating above me. i draw my broadsword.

Ares looks around for a tunnel to head into.

Jen - The remnants of the bat do not need to be impaled, as they are of the consistency of jelly. You get up, then promptly catch your foot on the same root and fall on your face again.

 

Earth - You walk down the sewer. Your sword seems to be stuck in its sheath.

 

Ross - You can't see much of anything, let alone a tunnel.

Jen carefully removes the root using her cello endpin, then sets off wandering again. (She takes the root)

i look around for anything interesting, while trying to free my sword from my scabard. (still walking)

Ares walks along the sewer. He keeps his hand on the deck of cards, and throws a card at any bats he sees trying to attack him.

Kitlana's mind flared with that dazed feeling when someone gets up too fast as she tired to recall what had previously happened to her.

 

All she could remember were two faces; one of them rather warming, the other one grotesque and eerie. Not much else presented itself in her memory at this time.

 

Kitlana looked around her, coming to the conclusion she was in some kind of sewer. Moving slowly and cautiously. she searched for a way out.

 

(is this a sci-fi or medieval setting?)

Jen - You take the root, and walk onward.

 

Earth - You see nothing interesting, but manage to unsheath your sword.

 

Ross - You walk down the sewer, and shoot a card at a what you think is a bat. Your efforts are rewarded with a quiet splash as the dead bat falls into the sewer water. +0.1 cartomancy

 

Iey - You see the outline of a manhole cover above your head. (Both.)

Ares continues walking and tries to pull the card back to him through Cartomancy.

i walk down the tunnel some more, with my sword out.

Kitlana reaches the manhole and searches for a ladder to climb up on, being careful to not stand directly beneath the hole as she traces the edges of it with her knife.

 

(sweetness)

Ross - The card returns to you, and you walk onward. +0.1 cartomancy.

 

Earth - You walk forward, and inadvertently chop a bat's wing off.

 

Iey - You find a ladder leading up to the manhole, but are unable to remove the manhole cover.

Ares looks around for any different manhole covers, but otherwise continues walking forwards, poised to throw cards if something should try to attack.

Kitlana examines the manhole cover further, seeing if there is a way to open it through physical force or other.

i stab the bat, thn move further down the hall.

Ross - You find nothing of interest, and walk further into the sewer.

 

Iey - As you begin examining the manhole cover, it comes off and falls behind you.

 

Earth - As you raise your sword to stab the bat, you knock yourself in the head with the hilt. You fall unconscious, and are now drowning in sewer water.

... t'dice hate meh.. i try to wake up.

Ares walks until he finds something interesting.

The suddenness of the cover falling off barely phased Kitlana as she tried to hoist herself up onto the ladder and climb it.

Sorry guys, got pulled away by something again.

 

Earth - You wake up and pull your face out of the sewer water. The injured bat is still whimpering helplessly in one of the dried parts of the sewer.

 

Ross - You walk into a wall. The wall menaces with spikes of - wait, those aren't spikes, they're teeth! You have run into a giant sewer wyrm.

 

Iey - You fall of the ladder and land on your head. You are now unconscious and drowning in sewer water.

i try to end the bats pain quickly.. if not, i try to heal it.

"Huh. That's interesting. I don't suppose you'd be interested in angrily shaking your fist at me while I quietly leave, would you? Do you even have fists? No? *Sigh*"

 

Ares jumps backwards and starts throwing a flurry of cards the wyrms mouthparts, while retreating away from it.

*waits to wake up or be saved*
