Full arma or void + acp?

I read a long time ago if you are hitting over 71% of the time, you should use void, and if under, use arma. Low def monsters: void. High def monsters: arma.

Well, when is the void deflector + acp better than full arma?

Is void deflector + acp better in all circumstances now, or is full arma better in some places?

Places that I have in mind is armadyl gw, fight caves, and frost dragons.

Huh i thought acp + deflector is always better. There really is no shield for range bonus

Ya that's what I'm trying to find out. Is the acp + deflector better in EVERY SINGLE CIRCUMSTANCE imaginable, or full arma better in some situations?

Well... Try naming one situation where it wouldn't be the best. I just tried for a couple of mins but nothing came to mind.

Ya, this is what I'm aiming at. I'm trying to think also about a situation where it wouldn't be the best, so I asked my question to see if anyone else can think of one.

Armadyl armour is better in places where you need defence, such as armadyl godwars.

Maybe full arma is better if you go arma cuz u need some extra def.

In damage output though I'm sure acp+void beats anything.

Here, my question is sort of answered, they said -

Instead of:

Low def monsters - void

High def monsters - arma

It is now:

DPS - void

needing def - arma

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What about a purely damage outputting scenario where you are hitting 50% with the deflector and acp? Would it be better to switch to full arma, or would you still stick to void?

What I am getting at is: At what % accuracy would full arma trump the acp + deflector? Before the deflector, it was at 71%. Now with the deflector + acp combo, what is the new percentage?

Grimy calculated that void + acp always has more dps than full arma, assuming all the other ranged gear is maxed.

Also, spectral > deflector by 20 mage defence, a load of melee defence and 3 prayer, and verac's helm > void range helm by I don't know how much melee/ranged defence and 3 prayer. So yeah, void is not yet the way to go at places you need the defence.

So no matter what the monster's def might be and no matter what your accuracy is against that monster it's always better to use the deflector + acp? Thanks, I guess my question has been answered. :shades:

I think that was with a chaotic crossbow, though. Hence the 'maxed' term.

no, it was with a rune crossbow.

I meant maxed in terms of armor

Would the difference be more pronounced with the chaotic crossbow?

It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet.

That's exactly what you're doing right now... just saying.

OK, my bad.

Since accuracy is supposed to be the weak point of void, a chaotic crossbow would tilt it slightly more in favour of the void setup, I think?
