Rare strange rocks

Do strange rocks become rare after you completed 1 statue? I used to get 1 strange rock after 1-2 inventories of training (oak larders, fm logs, fishing, ...) but now I completed my statue, it took 500 green dragon leathers, now already 400 steel bars (in cannonballs) without a strange rock, ... Is this normal?

The statue only collapsed 15 minutes before I started smithing :P So yea, quite sure

After 677 steel bars I finally got that strange rock (woot!)

Yeah, i have a sense of that they've changed all these %, many others too :/ Sol+Brobes doesn't seem to save 50% of runes :(

it is different for every week it seems. some weeks go faster others are much slower

 

keep at it you will get them eventually

I had to farm about 2.2k herbs before I got 2 farming rocks. :thumbdown:

The second rock (for the same skill) is usually a lot more difficult to find.

It helps if you switch skills between rocks you are trying to get, like fish - cook - fish - cook.

Doing this resets the chance of getting the second rock to what it was for the first rock.

Yes, don;t try to get them back-to-back, as the chance of finding the second rock of a skill right after you found the first (without finding a rock for an other skill) is reduced to 50%.

 

As the above poster said, alternate (matching) skills. For instance, I smelt gold for smithing rock, when I get the rock I use the gold bars to get the crafting rock. Same can be done with monkfish -> fishing and cooking them.
