What's the best item to flip in the g.e?

Featured Replies

I have 18 million coins at the moment in my inventory.

What would be the best item for me to flip in the g.e?

I know dragon boots are frequently flipped items, but you're better off studying graphs for items yourself. Things you can snag at min or med and sell for max 4 hrs later. But I think most people who flip probably don't share secrets because it would endanger their ability to make money.

Raw materials such as logs and fish are also good I heard. I flipped a few god items a while ago (zammy cape, to be precise) although I don't know why there was such a high demand for them so I wouldn't recommend them unless you know :P

if someone has a good item, it works because few people are flipping it

if they tell you, then they have to compete with you

competition drives economic profits to 0, so naturally no one is going to tell you their good items.

Start off with somewhat stable items (raw materials), buy for a few gp under med, and sell for a few over med, just until you get the hang of things so you don't blow your cashpile.

It wouldn't be the best if everyone knew.

But generally speaking, most TT items are easily flippable.

O.O

Do things that are at a somewhat stable price (ie. not at max or min) and that you have enough coins to buy the limit of. Put offers in for low and wait to see if they come in. The key is to have the patience to leave your offers in for a long time rather than trying to get them instantly. You have 4 hours from the time you bought the FIRST one, that means you have another 3.5 hours to buy the rest, while still being able to sell them right away after the initial 4 hours.

There really are no "good items." You just have to experiment and find some that work at the time.

Like others have said, the best items are raw materials and things that are traded in large volumes. For risk free flipping, search out these items and pick items that increased by 1 or 2gps from the previous day. The way I set my prices is to buy halfway between the mid and bottom price and to sell halfway between the mid and upper price. Between the lower and upper limits there is a 10% difference so doing this makes you 5% p/item. Flipping with 20m p/day will make you 1m p/day...

I tend to flip with about 40m across 5-6 items at a time. I adjust my prices or buy/re-sell once when I get up, before work, once I get home from work and once before I go to bed. Not everything sells/buys each time and sometimes I have to re-adjust my prices but I probably make about 3-4m p/day with about 10-15mins work...
