Wisky_is_Goo Posted October 11, 2010 Share Posted October 11, 2010 Well ive decided to train my mage level and make some money by maging rex, i don't have a whole lot of experience with DK's at all. (read: none) Other than how to get there. So what i'd need was some help with a setup, and basically what to do to get it setup so i don't get owned by supreme and prime. Id rather not rely on someone else to hybrid etc. I kinda wanna be able to do this whenever i feel like it, not find/wait for someone else. Any help? I can get access to Claws of Guthix. Stats are in sig. I also have around a 10m cashpile with liike a month of MTK waiting to be cashed in, so if needed i can do that to buy Ahrims/sol etc. I HATE battle robes also, and have no desire to use them. It should be even easier for you as I was at a very low level when I got it. Then hopThere's no other way of only doing Rex or others will Att u False, Supreme's and Prime's wander ranges are large enough that they can be far enough away from the ladder for you to sneak in at times.It usually takes awhile to get in on your own, but it's definitely possible. I dont particularly care for efficency, i just want someting that will work.There's a safespot you use for killing Rex, and once you're there you're out of range for both Prime and Supreme so you can focus on solely killing Rex. The main drawback is that by getting to this safespot you will almost always draw Supreme and Prime's attention, so you either need to kill them yourself, have someone else kill them for you (could also be by hopping to a high population LS world with a team in it), or sneak by, but I wouldn't recommend that on your first trip (requires some experience). Maging w/ hybrids still comes down to you killing Rex on your own, so you can just use the same setup for pure solo maging as for maging w/ hybrids. Check out Brainymidget's guide in the AOW (link before) Chuck Norris doesn't ever need a compass; he randomly points somewhere and north goes there in order not to anger him. I would replace fury with Arcane Stream.[Edit] I lied i thought you had higher dg ... Totem is a good shield if you cbf with antis and you have it. Well they have a range a magic attack, but praying mage is mostly a safety incase you get prime on you. Guthans?) if the only thing that's attacking you consistently has a mage based attack? I know when I used to camp rex, a unicorn was enough to heal me wearing verac top and bandos tassets.
