My Top 10 Bands of All Time

Featured Replies

Not sure how you guys are making the assumption that we dislike Nickelback to be cool or because they're popular. I personally dislike Nickelback because Chad Kroeger's voice is harsh and irritating, and because so many of their songs sound exactly the same. If no one else had heard of Nickelback before and I listened to their music, believe me, it wouldn't make me like it any more.

Yeah, but a lot of bands [even some good ones] do that

Prime example being Disturbed.

Personally, I like Nickelback. More so the Long Road and Silver Side Up era. Dark Horse was just a bunch of old rockers being creepy. Not the good kind of creepy, either.

I won't lie, I used to like Nickelback, like 4+ years ago. Their songs are catchy, and at the time that was all I wanted from music. As I got older my tastes changed and now I prefer music with some sort of intelligent message, and where talent is involved.

If you were to claim, like some do, that Nickelback is more talented then certain other bands, I'd debate that, but everyone's free to like what they like as far as I'm concerned.

Don't know about you guys but I think Paramore is a decent band.

I love Paramore. They don't match the bands I listen to, but I still love them.

Pfft.. My fav bands.. Here'll go.

Rise Against

Anti-Flag (Knew them 2 days before I went to gig.. Best 15 bucks I've ever spent)

Bad Religion

Scorpions (Went to Berlin to see them lol. Had a amazing weekend)

Lynyrd Skynyrd

Dio / Black Sabbath during Dio's days / Rainbow during Dio's days.

Blind Guardian (Schooltrip in Rome.. And Blind Guardian played.. So I went. Only saw half the show cuz we had some uphold (Kids being lost in pompei... Peebreak cuz my mate needed to pee, traffic jam after peebreak... Gah >.<)

Halestorm (No, not Alestorm. I knew these guys some months before I went to Disturbed, Papa Roach, Buckcherry and well, Halestorm. Liked their music, but thought nothing special.. Then I went to the concert.. Definitly along with Anti-Flag and Scorpions the best gig I've been at. Loved it, best band of the night. Disturbed and Papa Roach sucked balls lol, Buckcherry was good aswell).

Dead By Sunrise

Golden Earring

Recently much into NYCHC like Minor Threat, Agnostic Front, Blood For Blood and Black-Flag aswell.

Where's Rebecca Black?

Anyways...here are my top 10 favorite bands. Bands, of course, being musical acts with more than one member in them. Otherwise, they aren't a band.

No particular order.

1. The Who

2. Led Zeppelin

3. Weezer

4. Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band

5. The Beatles

6. The Allman Brothers Band

7. Anberlin (yes, I admit it. They are much more melodically/harmonically deep than most other "emo" bands, and I absolutely love 'Never Take Friendship Personal' from start to finish. Particularly enjoy 'Stationary' and 'Symphony of Blase')

8. Bloc Party

9. Sigur Ros

10. The Strokes

We have a very similar taste in music. I listen to every single one of those quite often.

If your hating on Nickelback its because you have only listened to thier stuff that released - They got popular by releasing the soft [cabbage] off thier albums - They are also one of my favorite bands.
