October 13, 201015 yr Looks like a video game. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
October 13, 201015 yr Dude, BBC was there for just about all night. At the time of posting, they still are broadcasting about it. I think they've been focused solely on the story since the first miner. EDIT: Also, kudos to Chile for handling this so well. I wish the 'los 33' the best in the future. ~ W ~
October 13, 201015 yr We made some comidic videos about the miners for my class.. You can check them out here http://babbler.cz.cc/.. I'm in two of them.
October 14, 201015 yr Congratulations to all parties involved on a flawless rescue. What a stunning experience.. following it has left me speechless many times over the past 69 days. I wish the miners all the best in whatever their future holds.  8,325th to 99 Firemaking 3/9/08 | 44,811th to 99 Cooking 7/16/084,968th to 99 Farming 10/9/09 | Runescaper August 2005-March 2010Tip.it Mod Feb. 2008-Sep. 2008 | Tip.it Crew Sep. 2008-Nov. 2009
October 15, 201015 yr As inhumane as this may sound, would there be an argument against rescuing the miners? From a financial perspective - It must have cost them well in the millions to save these miners. "What if the money was used in education and health?". I'm sure someone out there must have thought about that before the press descended

Guestimate - It must have cost at least what, 5 million pounds+? That money could have been used to save many patient's lives. Chile or whatever the country it is, isn't very rich.
October 16, 201015 yr That would have been PR suicide for the government though... "It's not a rest for me, it's a rest for the weights." - Dom Mazzetti
October 16, 201015 yr Chile's gained some serious respect around the world. In terms of opportunities and revenue the Chilean government and people will get from this, any government would pay the 5+ million in a heartbeat. It's like the Olympics, but much better value a hundred times over. ~ W ~
October 16, 201015 yr And Chile isn't as poor as you would think. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is."
