Dungeoneering: Not sure

Hello,

I quite recently decided to get a rapier, and I'm training dungeoneering on and off to achieve this.

First, I was doing my floors over 30 in w117 larges (I can't get in teams otherwise), but I got bored of people killing every single monster, wasting time, taking 1,5 hours/large, and leave you alone with a level 400 boss, getting 4 deaths once in a while.

I recently decided to make a full run while soloing with 1-25 c1s, 26-3x med. I can do a med in about 25 minutes (Lack of focus, there) and my c1s in an average of 5 minutes. Basically, 425 minutes for a 1-38 run, or 7h5m

Now I at f30, and I'm not sure wheter to go with teams or solo. Basically, is the difference very big? I much prefer soloing, but if I'm giving up on massive xp/h, that's different.

Am I just unlucky with w117 teams?

Are there any teams for level 120+ people with lower than 80 dungeoneering? I haven't found any.

ya, be selective, when you find a good team, ask them if you want to be dg buddies, get like 10 dg buddies so you can always have people that want to dg

The once was a mexican called pepsi,

Or maybe it's just he had Hep C,

He was a pretty cool bro,

Bros generally are you know,

He hailed from the land of 'taters,

He was known to hate many-a-hater,

He likes a girl named Lacey,

His thoughts about her are kind of racy,

And also his dad likes to [rooster].

I would suggest just doing 1-24 or 1-29 c1 and the rest solo med. W117 is not worth it, period. You can try w77 (just as bad), other worlds aren't going to be as accepting until 80-90 dungeoneering.

A couple advantages of solo meds are:

-You dictate your own pace (with practice you should be able to get under 20 minutes consistently, regardless of boss)

-Any hood drops you get are yours alone to bind instead of fighting over them

-No time spent getting teams; you are dependent on others not quitting.

So yeah, I would just work on soloing and trying to improve your times.

See if you can't refine your technique and get 4:30 c1s and 20 minute mediums.

Keep going and try to hit long-term averages of 4:00 c1s (that includes time between floors) and 16-17 minute mediums.

The best way to get good w117 teams is to start them yourself and be VERY selective about who you let in.

I tried, but if I spend 15 minutes finding people, it's not doing any good. And you can't ask for what you don't have...

In my experience, people forget about people they add in minutes.

Oh, and learn to key. Any team is good with a good keyer and four beatsticks.

I try to key, but usually the guy starting with ggs will do it or, worse, a random person ill start taking the keys he sees without telling me.

Seems like good goals to me. I think I'll go that way...

Thanks everyone, and if anyone has more insight, it's always welcome!

Depends on if your friends are dungeoneering properly or not. If they are, then I would agree, do 2:2 or 3:3 or whatever you can find over 1:1s.

Lol lately I've found this is what w117 is like:

At the start of the dungeon:

anyone want to key?

...

...

...

10 minutes later, whos keying?

...

...

...

No one ever wants to key, so you have to key yourself most likely.

I had to key from for the last several larges on 117 and its very laggy. gl to you
