they should make so you have a variety of the rewards, so say if all the items on the poll pumpkin pete or whoever that guy is has them all and you choose what reward you want, you can messaround with it, then bring it back to pete and try another reward, so you can try them all out andsee wich one you like best, then after the event is over, your stuck with that reward that you had last. i think they should made it like that

It's not like anyone plays with these items for more than a week, so why bother? The whole point is to do the event, not get the reward. The useless useless reward that no one cares about. No one's pulled out an Easter Ring out of their bank to play with in ages.

I missed out on all the tradeable holiday items and the Christmas one with hats, scarves, and marionettes (I want a faux blue phat :rolleyes ).

 

I do agree that the items are lacking originality and even though players voted for the items, I don't think Jagex should have even offered the option.

 

But the rewards aren't all bad. I'm content with the skeleton outfit, grim hood, and of course, my scythe. Makes for a rather nice outfit to do fun duels in around this time :thumbsup:

The holiday rewards of the last few years are just a way of Jagex pleasing the angry kids who weren't playing back when yo-yos, scythes, and such came out. Now all they do is give it a new name, slightly different look, and it makes the complainers feel good about getting something thats almost identical to the old rewards.

 

If you were there to get the old rewards back in rsc and the beginning of rs2, good for you, if you weren't, tough.

 

While I understand that the bone brooch was voted for in the poll a while back, it shouldn't have even been in the poll to start with. Jagex should have made the options in the poll original and new ideas only, not a copy of an old reward.

It just annoys me that people complain about not being there or joining during the time of the event, so they think that it is only "fair" that they get it too. It's even more annoying when Jagex listens to these people and tries to please them with a slightly modified copy of the old reward.

Full Skeleton costume + Bone Brooch animation looks better than easter ring imho. I might be biased though, the Skeleton costume is my favorite outfit in runescape.

I like full chicken costume + rubber chicken + Easter ring myself. Had some fun with that in the duel arena. I'd like to see them release more chicken-related items to fill out the rest of the equipment screen (i.e., shield and necklace slots). True full chicken FTW.

I agree; new players just need to learn to deal with the fact that they missed those items.

I think Jagex is just lazy. Although I don't care about holiday rewards (waste of space), there are people out there who do.

That's why I kinda wish Jagex would have started or transitioned to Runescape themed holidays rather than real life holidays. This way they can just make stuff up and call it part of the holiday.

Personally, I don't care one way or another. I'd like a scythe and bunny ears. Frankly, squirrel ears are not bunny ears. They are different items. And eek is awesome. You can't put the zombie head in your PoH. er, well, the menagerie. To me, Jagex isn't re-releasing items until, you know, I get my hands on the same bunny ears and scythe and yoyo that older players have.

They could even make it similar to the real ones. Like WoW has Brewfest (Oktoberfest) and a bunch of other holidays.

 

I remember Jagex saying a few years ago that they wanted Runescape holidays to make the world seem more alive and so they could have more than just the three items, but obviously that never happened.

i have an account, which is actually a very old one from my middle school friend, that has zombie head and easter ring. also a few of my friends from rl have the easter ring because that was when we all started playing. but for those of us who don't have easter rings.. i think it was fine. honestly i remember when i started playing on my old account tons of people would just be transformed into eggs all the time. now i'm lucky if i come by one per week.
