Does AoZ work on tier 1 and 2 prayers?

Because if it can, it would excellent for training with burst of strength and sharp eye when usually you woundnt use prayers (in combination with the other necklaces)

If it can I can see it being useful for p2p and f2p since range prayer/damage > range accuracy

If it works on higher tier prayers, it should work on lower tier ones. Er, what the deuce is AoZ anyways?

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

It works on any prayer that boosts a single stat, so yes. AoZ = amulet of zealots, one of the new dungeoneering rewards released this week.

But can you confirm that?, i dont want to waste 45k tokens on something that doesnt work the way i think it does.

Because i read on the wiki that it works on tier 3 prayers only. And i dont care if wiki is not to be trusted i want to have it CONFIRMED before i buy it.

The Amulet of zealots, when wielded, adds +2 to each of your attack modifiers, with a Prayer Bonus of -8, the highest Prayer penalty of any item. It also increases the boost of the modern 15% prayers to 20%.

Trusting rs wiki to be true causes no end of problems.

The amulet boosts ALL single stat boosting prayers by 5%, so 15 > 20, 10 > 15 etc.

The only thing it is proven to not work on is the curses book.

Combination prayers*. It DOES work with curses.

The problem with the logic of ''hey, i get 10% added for the cost of 5% prayer'' is that you also lose 8(or 11 compared to fury) prayer bonus, which may or may not cost you more prayer points in the end(assuming you'd have just used the 10% in the first place). I don't see the new amulet having alot of uses, furthermore, considering it costs 45k tokens.

the -8 is a good argument until you consider prayer setups.

Its proven the higher ur prayer bonus the less effect it has. Like +1 from 0 will save alot more than +1 from 21.

So when the best prayer get ups in game can easily push 30+ prayer bonus and anything over 20 isn't hugely useful the -8 becomes some what irrelevant.

But you can't use turmoil/piety with it, so having a high prayer bonus doesn't even matter. It really just sucks altogether.

Piety/Turmoil arent always the best options prayer wise even before this.

And with this you can get the same mage boost, range boost and attack boost as piety etc with much lower slower draining prayers.

You can't quite get the same str and def boost, but still pretty decent given the lower drain rate (20% vs 25% for def and 20% vs 23% for str)

Turmoil has always been the best, also before this, unless you are not meleeing.

Furthermore, the f2p pray bonus with that amulet would be +4 (monk's robes, explorer's ring) and with only the necklace to restore prayer I don't see it being useful for anything.

Considering that the OP is F2P, and this necklace is the only way of recharging prayer away from an altar this could be a great way to increase training efficiency.

Wrong necklace, pal(and a stupid post thereafter).

Also, sy, 15%(20% with ammy) def, str and attack would be much higher drain rate than piety(1 vs 1.5 pp/s) and 15% str and attack(20% with necklace) would be the same drainrate as piety BEFORE factoring in the loss of 11 prayer bonus(and let's be clear about it, it's a 11(13 with fury) point loss, not 8) and alot of other bonuses thus it's never worth using for p2p melee. For f2p melee, as there are very few prayer bonuses, it's only worth using when you are fighting in front of an altar, otherwise the prayer point consumption is going to kill you(not to mention, in a no-prayer-recharge fight, you should only use protection prayers). For ranged, it's somewhat better, although it's still clearly beaten by rigour(which you should definitely get). For magic, it's ****.

Thanks all for fighting over my humble little question, it makes me feel important :D

Upon further testing, prayer drain calcs, and prayer equipment setups, i have come to find out that the only use for it is F2P pvp.

Using a split dragontooth necklace and hawk eye lasts minutely less than using the AoZ and sharp eye. Its even more useless when it comes to stregnth prayers (might as well use a str ammy + SDN for prayer restore)
