michel555555
I've just got a hex drop after my very first soul gazer and decided to bind it. Only now i'm at an impass as to what to actually keep. My current binds atm are Prime bax, Surge box and now hex hunter. I'm just wondering if zeph+ arrows that apear on the table at the start of each dungeon are any good with hex or if i'm going to have to unbind my surge for sagi arrows. I don't really want to get rid of surge because it just makes warriors so much easier but if i do i could then also get a 2h instead of bax... I just need someone elses opinion. Update: decided to keep hex and try it out for a while and it is good. With prom arrows i can almost solo neclord by myself while rest of team unlocks last rooms. The problem is it stinks for anything not a mage so i have to keep a melee weapon bound, and its causing some problems. I think i will be unbinding it and getting surge back and either getting hood or plate depending on whatever comes first. [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. green9090
IMO, if you're going to range, you'd better have good arrows to do it with. Completely defeats the point of the hexhunter's damage increasing special to then use cheapo arrows with it. Primal warriors aren't that bad to melee- usually if I'm in a good team I hardly have time to switch my ring and turn on autocast before everyone else has made short work of it anyway- I've been considering dumping it for laws. Meanwhile hexhunter is supposedly a big help on bosses and mages, as well as the merc room (I've never actually seen a hexhunter in action, so take that with a grain of salt). I personally stick with arrows + hexhunter.Remember, surgebox is more common. And you really should be in teams with players that have surge boxes. You really don't need more than 1-2 mages to clear GDs.Granted more surgebox owners are great for all warped bosses other than gulega, and maybe blink. ghjkl
I would unbind the hexhunt for a hood as soon as you find one.
Sinkhan
I would unbind the hexhunt for a hood as soon as you find one. Well he's *only* 4 levels from 100 and the SSH is arguably less rare than the hexhunter. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
Sir_Squab
Tbh, he'd be better off unbinding the b axe for the hood. Once he gets to 100, bind a prom b axe (or any other item he wants) then wait for the next primal one. Btw, hate the OP for having a surgebox -.- Squab unleashes Megiddo! Quyneax
Hexes are very rare, e.g. one per 25m dg xp is not uncommon. Better to unbind the melee weapon. If we had 2 ammo binds so i could bind combat runes as well i might, but just hex alone fails. [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? green9090
I've done several dungeons with a ranged/mage pure at 110+ dungeoneering. He binds hexhunter bow, sag arrows, hood, and a blood necklace and then just crafts himself some combat runes and an empowered fire staff to use when he gets a moment. He's damn good and has no problem keeping up with a team doing 25 minute occult floors. Something to consider. michel555555
Gaa i'm not sure what to do anymore :wall: Why'd i have to get such a rare drop before 100 dg. Something to consider. was he only attacking mages? or helping out with everything els before he got runes. Because i know most teams would probably just kick you outright if your pure range or mage. [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? green9090
He helped with everything else before getting runes, but it usually doesn't take long to grab a pile of cash and get enough casts to start taking out warriors. Another part of his advantage is having a ~90 combat makes the average GD much easier (because the dungeon scales to the average combat level), and since he was so low and still ripping through mages and warriors just as well as the rest of the team, his net effect was positive. Obviously if you're not low level like he is you won't be quite as well off, but my point is that it's possible to get through without a melee weapon. Also, if you're not with some snotty 100+ clan (which I assume you aren't or we wouldn't be having this discussion), your chances of getting kicked for stuff like that is lower. As long as you keep up they probably won't do more than heckle you.
