90-99 Fishing

Featured Replies

I'm currently approaching 90 cooking via cavefish and I'm wondering if I should continue to fish in the LRC or go to monks or do something completely different. I'm looking to profit and get a reasonable amount of experience per hour.

Profit and reasonable xp sounds like rocktail, but I highly recommend (barbarian) fly fishing as it is much faster xp, and rocktails really are not great money. Barbarian fishing costs you only the feathers, really.

rocktails are less click intensive.

My lame drops:
6 Effigys

1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

rocktails are less click intensive.

Certainly, but then Shilo fly fishing comes in ;-). It's probably 50% faster than rocktail, and you profit.

I personally did rocktails and heavy rod fishing (barbarian fishing) most of the way.

Shilo fishing works, but useful/money/xp wise rocktails (afk-ish) will be a better option.

For the fastest experience heavy rod fishing is best (requires you to pay attention).

I love it how Jafje comes outa nowhere and answers my questions

Hehe now we know what real life does...drugs, drugs, more drugs. Thank god we are addicted to something that won't kill us.

Heavy rod fishing is the most efficient. If you want to make the most of your time and money, do that.

If you don't want to do that, do rocktails.

I vote rocktails great balance and money.

If you're going to do rocktails, I recommend netflixing/pirating some movies you've been wanting to see. You can literally pay no attention to the screen for 4+ minutes at a time if you play on w84, making it one of the best afk tasks in the game.

If you're the kind of person who sits there watching the screen no matter what, though, it's not worthwhile to do rocktails. The profit per hour, while the best possible for fishing, is very small- you'd be a LOT better off with barbarian fishing or shilo, and then killing something profitable in the tens (hundreds?) of hours you save on 99 fishing.

Feathers! normal fishing bait is cheaper :)

Forget cavefish altogether. BoB + Admiral Pies after level 85, you'll never have to fish a single cavefish in your life.

Pirating is bad. :o

Anyway, world 77 is a lot more pleasant than world 84 since it is *somewhat* less crowded.

Yeah, it's to movies what libraries were to books, it'll completely rui-- wait, nevermind.

I didn't know about world 77, I'll have to try that out. Though with rocktails the lag really doesn't matter much, and the crowds are a good thing otherwise.

Barbarian fishing is the best option according to me. But rocktails are better for afking. It is all about your playing style really :)
