aspeeder
Sell your SGS, buy Verac's Skirt and a Barrows Melee top (Not Verac's) and a Sara Sword to train str, A Korasai's sword would be a cheap alternative as well. Also use the cash to buy the levels for an Enhanced Excalibur, but whatever you do sell your SGS since it's useless anyway. http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
SirIzenhime
Get 68 summoning, then you can sell your SGS, since any use it has after that is gone (unless you have a waterfiend/zammy tanking fetish)A good setup that I used for the longest time was Slayer helmBandos chestverac skirtd bootsfurybarrow glovessoul wars capewhiprune defender Since you're working for 99 str, buy a Saradomin sword. But once you have 99, sell it for a whip and a Z spear. If you find yourself still needing healing on slayer tasks, work for an enhanced excalbur. If you don't need any extra healing at all, opt for an offensive spec weapon, at your current budget, there aren't very many options though. Quyneax
About time I posted this again: The base slayer gear is as follows (alternatives in brackets):[For all slayer monsters except those mentioned under other weapons] Chaotic rapier (whip)Bandos body + legs (Verac's skirt with either fighter torso or proselyte top)[Depending on prayer/accuracy needs] Fire cape/Soul Wars cape/Ardougne cloak 3Barrows gloves (your best rfd gloves, at least rune)Dragon boots (rune boots)Amulet of fury (glory)Rune defenderBerserker ring (i)/ferocious ring if slaying in Kuradal's Dungeon (berserker ring, warrior ring)[Most important] Full slayer helmet.[For magic defence on waterfiends/aquanites] Karil's top and bottom (black dragonhide body and chaps, elite void skirt)[Crush attacks to use on waterfiends] Chaotic maul (Saradomin sword, Zamorakian spear)[stab attacks for higher-levelled dragons, when not using rapier] Zamorakian spear (Korasi's sword, leaf-bladed sword)Task-specific items such as mirror shields, antifire shields/potions, elemental shields, rock hammers, crystal chimesCannon (optional, up to personal preference)Slayer setups generally emphasise strength bonus, which increases the average damage of each succesful hit (slayer monsters usually having rather low defence, hitting is not a problem). Secondly, prayer bonus is important to keep the cost of prayer potions down (as you slay with piety on, to increase the speed of your kills. This is cost-effective and highly recommended). As a rule of thumb, +15 prayer bonus or above is good, but don't overdo it (anything above +25 is a waste). Defence and accuracy bonus are usually not fretted over (any defence bonus over 200 will do; if you get hit too often you should be using a protection prayer). Dagganoth, black demon, lesser demon, hellhound, bloodveld and spectre tasks should be cannoned, as it dramatically increases xp rates (although it costs a bit). Some notes on gear: You'll want a fury and a berserker ring before you get bandos plate, and get that before tassets. You'll want accuracy bonus on higher-levelled dragons; if using stab attacks (which you should) you can use the Ardougne cloak 3 which provides you with +6 stab and +6 prayer bonus. Torso + sw cape and fire cape + proselyte are common cheap top/cape combinations; the former is better. Some levels to get for slayer (in approximate order but I'm not sure on the summoning):68 summoning - bunyip81 dungeoneering (you need 2 million xp, which takes you to level 80, but allowing some tokens for the scroll of life) - rapier89 herblore (85 with a +4 stew boost) - extreme potions, superantifires95 prayer - turmoil and soul split88 summoning - unicorn96 herblore (91 with a +5 stew boost) - overload99 summoning - steel titanI'm sure I missed something but this is most of it. tl;dr get rapier and sell sgs. gremmy
Also, don't bother with bcp. 4 strength bonus can be achieved with torso, and ~20m is at better use somewhere else, like flipping, or towards 95 prayer/extremes. Torso also takes time to obtain, and you can't get anything back from that. Might be better to earn a few million gp in that time and just use bcp. gremmy
1) +1 prayer barely matters. 2) If he's starts using piety, the defence won't do a big difference. 3) He could wear proselyte body or a barrows platebody instead. Hell, Verac's top might even have uses. SirIzenhime
you cannot ever sell back a torso, making the time you took to get it impossible to reobtain. You can always sell a BCP, you're essentially just borrowing it until you sell it for something else. gremmy
BCP will only drop in price, since there's more coming into the game then leaving the game, plus 4 strength bonus doesn't change much. SirIzenhime
I'd rather loose 2m on a BCP, then take the time to get a torso, especially when the BCP is just plain better. Turnpike
This is my specialty.. My personal advice would be use a Fighter Torso, Verac Skirt, Saradomin Sword or Dragon Scimitar with a Rune Defender. Make sure you have a Slayer Helmet or Black Mask and that you are using Super Sets on every task.
All_Is_Great
The BCP is not a piece of crap. It's a luxury item, something you buy once you have all the essentials. Also luxury items which you can live without are zerker rings (once you can use kuradel's dungeon, you won't be using this much), tassets, DFS, etc. Invest money in levels first, then items. Quyneax
Super attacks are cheap xp, decent speed. I highly recommend getting 65 anyway, as stewing is a real pain, and totally worth doing for overloads, but not for a lowly level 65.
