Age has once again, failed me.

So, this isnt and angry rant. This is just a "Gahh, that sucks" rant. I've had my Runescape account for about, 8, maybe 9 years. (Pathetic stats, I know. I've taken long breaks), and thinking about the way the game has evolved, sucks. In the past few years I've finally been getting old enough to have a good understanding of economics and the way things in the world and this game work. I remember having epically FAILED at any attempt to merchant anything. But, I do think the Grand Exchange kind of killed some good aspects of the game. I just feel it's a bummer that I got screwed out of the good portion of the game because of my age. XD

And, someone please explain, other than the stolen credit cards, what is the huge deal with RWT? Theres alot of MMOs that allow it.

Thats annoying then. Im sure there could have been a more creative solution. Like, RWT via Jagex store? Buy gold from them, kills RWTers + profit.

it's way easier to make way more money with way less effort merchanting TODAY than you could pre-2007.

Some die-hard pre-07 merchers would disagree, even if they haven't even tried GE-merching. Honestly, I just don't like the fast pace this game has taken. Not really a fast-paced type of person.

I just think it was more fun when you were forced to have player communication to succeed.

today, you can make around 3-4% profit every 4 hours regardless of your capital

in 2006, yeah, you could make 20% profit in 4 hours... if you were talking like 20m capital. if you had 500m in 2006, you were lucky to get 2 or 3%. on top of that, you had to physically be logged in and typing, whereas with the ge you can place your offers, then either log off or go kill some bosses for even more money.

To be honest, I like having the GE around. In the old days you have to keep spamming in your chatbox what you want to buy/sell, and sometimes it takes a real long time.

With the GE, I can just place my offer there, and do something else in the meantime.

I personally liked how it was before the GE, and I wasn't a mercher. But hey, the GE is also a great update. Whereas I hate having idiots help me train Dung. I was so happy when I got a team of 135+'s lol. They knew what to do and all of us finished our floors within an hour. We had to do about 30.

Although, there is a problem with idiots, not knowing anything.

As of RWT, they could have made Jagex stores, but a bunch of 11-year-olds had to steal their parents credit cards to play the game. That made me angry just because of price in membership rising. Then the wildy was gone, and the game slowly died. Either way, I love how it is now.

I personally like the GE. It's fast and easy, good for buying/selling things quickly.

I haven't gotten to high-level content yet (GWD and bosses), but from what I've heard, it's pretty fun. Try that out.

In the pre-GE days, we had to MAKE that oak longbow needed for that quest. We had to go to SHILO if we wanted Charcoal.

These days, there's little to no preparation required for most quests (bosses aside). Before, you had to run around the world gathering the items required, which seemed to take almost as much time as the quest did itself. Nowadays, you can buy the entire shopping list on the GE.

Even worse when people say how X item isn't buying in the GE for the quest so they arent going to do the quest right now. Have they ever done even minimal DIY?

That was really the only big deal: the stolen credit card crap was losing them money.

Come to my Clan chat (I'm there if I'm online) if you wish to borrow a Green H'ween mask, Blue H'ween Mask, Red H'ween Mask, or Santa for a reasonable price.
