Brett0wnz
Hello guys, I am planning to get 99 fishing. I was thinking that I would train at monkfish until 90, then rocktails to 99. Does this seem to be a good idea? Or do you think there might be a better option? Oh, and does anybody know what the limit is for buying living minerals on the GE? Like of how many you can buy in a certain time period? Thanks! - 86,939th to 99 Woodcutting on July 10, 2010 (CHOPPED EUCALYPTUS TREES) - Achieved 99 Fletching on November 23, 2010 - Achieved 99 Fishing on November 2, 2011 - Achieved 99 Cooking on November 7, 2011
Gandorf61
That's a good option to go with in terms of experience and money, plus your barely have to pay any attention while fishing rocktails. Not sure what the limits for the living minerals are. I know I was able to buy a few thousand in under an hour so I'd guess the limits would either be 5k or 10k every four hours. Thanks! What you plan to do is what I did, although I did cavefish until 90, but idk if monks would've been better, but rocktails to 99 will bring some nice profit in. And as for the GE limit on living minerals, idk if there is one because I could've sworn when I bought all my bait for 90-99 that it all bought at once. I wish you the best of luck! MY CAPES! Brett0wnz
You barely have to pay any attention while fishing rocktails. That's what I'm aiming for :) I wish you the best of luck! Thanks! EDIT: And is Fishing like Woodcutting in a sense? So if there are more people fishing at one spot, the fish come slower, like more people on a tree, it falls down quicker? Or is this not the case in Fishing? Cause I would like to fish on world 84 or whatever the world is where the large groups are so I don't get attacked as much. Or should I not worry about getting attacked? - 86,939th to 99 Woodcutting on July 10, 2010 (CHOPPED EUCALYPTUS TREES) - Achieved 99 Fletching on November 23, 2010 - Achieved 99 Fishing on November 2, 2011 - Achieved 99 Cooking on November 7, 2011
SoulWars
Fast xp, lots of clicking, no profit: barbarian fishing Decent xp, some clicking, no profit: Shilo Village fly fishingSlow xp, barely any clicking, decent profit: monkfish You can also mix it up by doing Fish Flingers (fishfling1 - cc) if you're aiming for experience. Once you reach 90, you should fish rocktail (in my opinion), especially if you like AFKing. :) Having to continuously drop fish/click a lot really makes it hard to enjoy RS, which is opposite of the game's purpose, I guess ;) As far as minerals go, I don't think you should be worried lol No one has mentioned anything about that, so don't worry Edited November 26, 2010 by SoulWars
Quyneax
Barbarian is faster, rocktails are more afk, monks just plain suck :P. Shilo is better. Also don't forget effigies. You can't assist fishing but you can open them. When the miners move you will suffer from terrible lag. Just to let you know. When I was down there I wore my guthan's and also used some of the safe spots they have to get away from the monsters. Fly fishing is mostly obsolete for high-level training. The best use of your time and money would be heavy rod fishing, which is the most efficient option. Otherwise, rocktails and fish flingers are the way to go. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
