MightyMuddy
What should I spend slayer points on now? I have slayer helm already and my stats are in my sig.I also have no blocked tasks and 500 points to start of with, I'm currently slaying with Duradel. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). brad1431
first spend it on the things like slayer helm, and better way to kill slayer monsters and all of those upgrades, then use it to cancel tasks that are less profitable or that you dont like, after that is done and you have nothing left to spend it on, use it for slayer darts runes to sell for cash. Elf Spice
You should definitely learn to craft rings of slaying first - those are essential. if you plan on training fletching with broad arrows/bolts then buy the ability afterward. After buying the above you should be at the point to use Kuradal, in which you can then buy tasks to block. Buying the killing blows ability is optional since it only affects 1 of Kuradal's tasks - gargoyles.
MightyMuddy
Okay well I decided I'd learn how to fletch broadbolts and craft slayer rings first, which I need 100 more points to get both.I've also decided not to block steels, but I've been ranging them so far, is it worth it to melee them? Also never had a gargoyles task so I probably won't get killing blows anytime soon, well at least not till I get 75 slayer and start using Kuradal as a master. Thanks for the input everyone, I apreciate it . :) Blog
Bladewing
every task except black demons and ice wyrms is fastest with melee. so yeah you should use melee. i'd really recommend getting a rapier if you are going to get really into slayer. once you have it you'll thank me. Troacctid
Get slayer rings first. They're the most important. I would even get them before the slayer helm. Read my blog | Follow me on Twitter | Track my XP
Quyneax
If you get rapier, metal tasks will fly by, they really don't have that much defence :P. MightyMuddy
Well I've already planned on getting a rapier, but I need 80 defense first because the floor after I got 50 dung I managed to find and bind a Gorg plate. Blog

Obviously it's faster as you get up higher, but the defense on metal dragons tends to be over-exaggerated. You just need to be using the right weapon.
