MTK Question

So I've read all the guides I can find on it, most of them recommend having enough money to last a week, but dont you have to raise your approval rating every day to keep the 100% resource (as opposed to 90% resources as it rounds down)? Or is it set so that as long as your raise your approval to 100% before you collect your resources you collect the full 100%?

It's recommended to raise your approval every couple days (high 90's give the max return, so you don't need to do it everyday). I'm lazy and just raise it to 100 once a week.

Anything over 80-ish approval gets you decent profit. Hence most people do apprval once a week.

I think you only need 100% approval when you collect the resources. Anyway, after a week approval shouldn't drop too much. I only collect 1-2 times a week, and only ever have to mine 2 pieces of coal to get back to 100% approval, so I wouldn't worry about doing it every day.

approval is counted daily.

It is only resource type that can alter on collection

Wrong. You can leave your kingdom alone for as long as you want (but preferably not so long that you drop below 750k in your coffers), and as long as you get your approval back up to 100% before you collect, you'll get your full reward.

Wrong people have done studies that categorically showed keeping 100% every day and collecting after a set time period resulted in more resources than letting approval drop over that same time and raising just prior to collection.

In my experience Sly's right, the amount of rewards are collected daily depending on the money in the coffers (Ie +/- 750k) and approval rating, which then drops 1% after collecting. You can change WHICH reward to collect and still get the equivalent of what was collecting for a few days of the other resource though (Ie have it collecting 10 raw fish and 5 maples for a week, get approval up, talk to grim and make it 10 herb and 5 maples, then collect to get herbs and maples).

Someone I know recently did a test to prove this one way or the other.

"I recently did an extreme test to see if your approval per day affects the rewards.

Setup: Filled up coffers and got approval to 100%.

Day 1

Approval ticked down to 99%. Got it back up to 100% and collected rewards: (can't link image, but was your standard 446 maple logs, bird nests and herbs for the one day)

Then went outside and killed villagers until approval was at 0%.

Day 2

Approval ticked up to 1%. Got it back up to 100% then went to collect rewards NOTHING!

Conclusion: Your approval rating at the time MTK ticks over to the next day (varies for everyone) does affect your rewards."
