kingOval
Hey guys, well my farming level is relatively low at 20. How do I go about raising it to around 50 or 60? Any help is greatly appreciated :)
Th e Doctor
Quests, I got up to around 33 from quests alone when I started. From there plant the highest level tree (oak willow maple etc) and highest level fruit tree (orange banana etc) possible as well as doing herb farming runs. ALWAYS pay your farmers to watch your trees (the payments can be found in the tip.it farming guide) and as they take so long to grow plant them at night, go to bed and check them/replant them before you go to sleep the next day. Shouldn't take more than 2 weeks to get the levels you want. Cheers. Cheers. With the lower leveled trees it doesn't matter that much, but you should never pay a farmer to look after a tree if the payment is more than 1/10th the cost of the seed (Because the death rate is 10%). http://i700.photobucket.com/albums/ww6/aspeeder/Siggy_zpsewaiux2t.png 99 Strength since 6/02/10 99 Attack since 9/19/10 99 Constitution since 10/03/10 99 Defense since 3/14/11 99 Slayer since 8/30/11 99 Summoning since 9/10/11 99 Ranged since 09/18/11 99 Magic since 11/12/11 99 Prayer since 11/15/11 99 Herblore since 3/29/12 99 Firemaking since 5/15/12 99 Smithing since 10/04/12 99 Crafting since 9/16/13 99 Agility since 9/23/13 99 Dungeoneering since 1/1/14 99 Fishing since 2/4/14 99 Mining since 2/28/14 99 Farming since 6/04/14 99 Cooking since 6/11/14 99 Runecrafting since 10/10/14 9 Fletching since 11/11/14 99 Thieving since 11/14/14 99 Woodcutting since 11/20/14 99 Construction since 12/03/14 99 Divination since 2/22/15 99 Hunter since 2/23/15 99 Invention since 01/20/17 99 Archaeology since 5/14/22 99 Necromancy since 11/22/25 Quest Point Cape since 08/20/09 Maxed since 2/23/15 Fire Cape since 02/27/13 Slayer: 3 Leaf-Bladed Swords, 8 Black Masks, 2 Hexcrests, 26 Granite Mauls, 5 Focus Sights, 33 Abyssal Whips, 9 Dark Bows, 1 Whip Vine, 3 Staffs of Light, 15 Polypore Sticks Dragon: 10 Draconic Visages, 7 Shield Left Halves, 20 Dragon Boots, 40 Dragon Med Helms, 8 Dragon Platelegs, 6 Dragon Spears, 20 Dragon Daggers, 5 Dragon Plateskirts, 1 Dragon Chainbody, 63 Off-hand Dragon Throwing Axes, 19 Dragon Longswords, 27 Dragon Maces, 1 Dragon Ward Treasure Trails: Saradomin Full Helm, Ranger Boots, Rune Body (t), Saradomin Vambraces, Various God Pages Misc:1 Onyx,1 Ahrim's Hood, 1 Guthan's Chainskirt, 1 Demon Slayer Boots
Samaster
To start off I would recommend that you make sure that you are always wielding the magic secateurs from Fairytale I - Growing Pains. This will help you get some of your money back from the seeds you plant and in some cases help you make money. If you want to power level and don't care about the cost i would advise doing a tree run every day with the highest levelled tree you can do. But if you want to take a bit more time, do a herb run as well. Plant the best herb seed you can in the allotments and harvest/replant them each time you feel like it. You will make money in doing this (use super compost and magic secateurs to maximise profit). Fruit trees can be a very good source of income as well, I have papaya trees planted (mainly for the spec restore pots =D) and I just go around and pick some fruit for a quick boost of cash. Also the usual tips... Search for penguins one per week, Use XP lamps on it, Effigy's dragonkin lamps and vinesweeper (mainly for extra seeds, but xp can be gained) Hope this helped =D
gremmy
Make sure you farm herbs regularly all the way, as no matter the herb, it'll pay for the levels, and a lot extra cash would be available. But just farm low level trees and fruit trees - they're dirt cheap (10 gp for an acorn?). Edit: Take a look at this guide: http://forum.tip.it/topic/242787-mother-gaia-an-in-depth-manual-to-farming/ - it'll show you which trees etc. are good, aswell as showing you how to do a "farm run". Jaffy1
I'd recommend you do oaks (whether or not you pay really is up to you) until level 30, after which you can switch to willow trees. Willow trees are considered fairly cheap and decent experience. You can do tree runs 2-4 times a day. At level 27 you can start doing apple trees next to the regular trees, and then move to banana at 33. These fruit trees can be done once a day. As for allotments/flowers/herbs: marigolds/limpwurt roots/scarecrow (if you decide to farm on allotments sweetcorn is fairly useful), whichever herb you can profit on (until 32-38 probably not worth that much). It is helpful to have an explorer ring (3) from the Lumbridge tasks, ectophial from the Ghost Ahoy Quest, access to Spirit Trees from the Grand Tree Quest, and magic secateurs from the Fairy Tale part 1 Quest You can also get cheap pineapples (40 for 2 Gp each daily) from Arnhein in Catherby to make supercompost (for herbs and whatnot). transcript80
Farming tomatoes to pay for the oaks guarantees your xp, as well as some bonus from farming the tomatoes. Same goes for sweet corn + apple trees. Strawberries and watermelon seeds are generally expensive. Use your kingdom to get tree seeds, get the My arm patch for a guaranteed herb harvest. Use super compost for all patches any time, you can get 80 pineapples a day (80gp total) so you could not run out of it. Also use the tips that were posted before. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
Quyneax
Indeed, all that was posted above is good stuff :). I recommend seriously farming for profit once you reach level 50 (avantoe). It should bring in over 100k per 5-minute run. Snapdragon (level 68) is even more, and torstol (level 85) is around 400k per run. For torstol to profit, you need to use juju potions, and a scroll of life is highly recommended with both snaps and torstol.
