December 17, 201015 yr My stats are below, do you think it's possible for me to complete Nomad's Requiem? If it's not possible, please tell me what stats I should train in order to be able to complete this quest. I have 10 quests left before I can get the quest cape and it seems like this one will be the most difficult.
December 17, 201015 yr You should have little problem. I didn't, and I was lower ranged than you.But always do the following: Do not be scared of death. Don't bring wellfare gear. Bring the very best. I ranged him with full Armadyl. Watch a few YouTube video's to see how things go (where to hide, what to do when he drops mines). Remain calm. Pray piety, or Rigour if you have it. The defence is needed. 1:3 Super restore - Brew ratio. Bring a Tortoise filled with them. These should help you bring him down. I defeated Nomad first try with 9 brews and 6 restores left. He's not too hard if you know what to pay attention to. Dragon Drops : 5 Dragon Medium Helmets, 3 Dragon Claws, 3 Dragon platelegs, 2 Dragon plateskirts, 2 Dragon Hatchets, 2 Dragon Spears, 7 pairs of Dragon Boots, 1 Dragon pickaxe, 10 Dragon defenders, 3 Dragon 2h swords, 1 Dragon armour Slice, 1 Dragon armour Lump, 1 Dragon chainbody, 1 Dragon kiteshield, 1 Dragon hasta, 1 Dragon ward, 25 Dragon knives pairsThe Warrior's Blog , Herblore Habitat - Efficient and profitable[hide=Stats and logs].:Adventurer's Log:.[/hide]

I don't have the money for full Armadyl.

I don't have the money for full Armadyl. I'd say so. I used: - Helm of neitiznot- Fury- Rune crossbow- ~250 Diamond bolts (e)- Armadyl torso- Armadyl skirt- Spirit shield- Snakeskin boots- Barrows gloves The differences between Armadyl and Karil should be minute. December 17, 201015 yr Is full Karil's + fury etc a good substitute for Armadyl? I don't have the money for full Armadyl. The problem with Karils is that a death would result in you having to repair the armour. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn't cost that much, but it's definitely a hassle to go to your house each time and if you end up dying to him a lot (which is very possible) then it adds up. Try to get your hands on some armadyl armour, be it borrowing or just buying it temporarily and then selling it back to the GE. I'd imagine the soak would be useful for some of the attacks Nomad uses. I'd also suggest some Kyatt ambush scroll spam as I've heard it's very effective. A darklight/bgs spec whenever you have the spec energy might also be helpful. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

Just make sure (!) to switch to diamond bolts (e) when he's preparing the near-max HP attack. You don't wanna get lucky unlucky at the moment. Or do you summon the Kyatt after all the supplies in the tort have been used?
December 17, 201015 yr Good point, I will try and borrow some Armadyl armor. Do you think the Kyatt is more effective than a war tort? Or do you summon the Kyatt after all the supplies in the tort have been used? Use up supplies and then spam the scrolls like crazy. You could also just try to start the fight by spamming the scrolls at him and forgo the tort completely, but you may run out of supplies by the very end, which would suck. There are some videos on people using the tactic. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
December 17, 201015 yr You have 99 ranged, you should rip Nomad. Not to mention 99 magic, which should add some defence. I'd recommend elite void deflector, chaotic crossbow with ruby bolts etc. Of course if you don't have that, armadyl is also great. Use a war tort, bring 4:1 brew:normal restore and 3:1 brew:super restore in such a way that you have ~4 super restores. Bring a kyatt and scrolls in the last 2 spaces of your tortoise, as well. When they appear in your inventory, dismiss the tort and get out the kyatt. As for the fight: avoid the mines, keep attacking while running for cover, avoid the 750's, HIDE from the clones (very handy to keep your cool) and be careful with rubies when frozen. If you're having a hard time, you could postpone the fight until you get rigour, for example. It won't be cheap to get, but it'll increase your power by quite a bit. December 17, 201015 yr Author I'm about to make my first attempt. I won't be using armadyl, only black dragonhide top and karils skirt. I'll bring a war tort with the kyatt stored in the tort.
December 17, 201015 yr I used d'hides with 75 ranged to kill him, so it should be fairly easy for you. Bring tort (I used terrorbird) and summon kyatt when tortoise is empty. Place scrolls in your headgear (if you can) and use them manually also, as they can stack. Remember, barrows armor always breaks when you die. "An Amateur practices until he can get it right. A Professional practices until he can't get it wrong." Quests just keep bringing me back to this game.
December 17, 201015 yr Author I killed him with 14 brews and 5 restores left. It was my second attempt (my first attempt I died within about 30 seconds because I didn't know how to avoid his special)I didnt bother with kyatt and I couldn't borrow armadyl. Thanks everyone for the tips!
