Vezon Dash Posted December 25, 2010 Share Posted December 25, 2010 With this horrible update coming up in the near future I fear that my Bandos is going to take a hard hit, as well as my other items. The question is whether I should sell my items and level my prayer with the money. I don't think I would get horribly far on such a low cash base, but I'd rather sell my Bandos for dragon bones now than let it crash to half of its current value. Throw in the 450 k exp from Blood Runs Deep to save a couple mil and sell bandos and Im sure you'll have enough for 92. The problem I see now is that once the pvp stats are removed, won't cash gain more value? So would selling Bandos now, and buying bones later be a good plan? Nifflin Posted December 25, 2010 Share Posted December 25, 2010 Yep, I was about to buy 120m worth bones but then they rose 200 gp each and that translates into needing 125m instead of 120m. But I bet they will crash soon for two reasons: a) The wilderness will not come for a while and the current growth rate cannot be sustained. b) The supply will not decrease once the wilderness is reintroduced as botting will most likely increase the supply of bones. But there is also the longer term factor of.. c) Players who quit coming back and wanting to buy high level prayer with their cash or whatever. Personally, I will try to buy bones when the current rise crashes, c) is too big of a risk in terms of having potential to skyrocket the price of bones. The supply won't change from what it is today, but there is potential for demand to go way up. Either way, that bandos armor isn't exactly helping you. Looking at your stats, what you could do though is sell it and bust for charms until 88 summoning. That would help you a lot more then soul spit or turmoil would. It would give you mage, hp and summoning experience and would be feasible given your price range. PM me in game anytime It's a lot easier then that for an idiot to sound smart on the internet. TheAncient Posted December 25, 2010 Share Posted December 25, 2010 i think it would be fair to say that prayer prices are dictated a large amount by dag bone and frost bone drops as well 95/92 prayer is like 50x as useful as bandos. bandos is nice, but VERY overrated. it might crash for a few days but in the long run i see its price being stable. most likely the update will lead to deflation but we can only speculate. my advice would be to start saving and training for prayer now. the advantage in waiting for deflation to occur is marginal. Prayer is worth more than bandos, on the other hand, Soul Split isn't worth getting without turmoil.
