Hey guys, I'm having some trouble deciding how to spend (or not spend) my cash. I've got a bit of cash along with some items and I'm at a loss on how to use it effectively. I'm wondering if any of you have any advice on:

1. What items I should buy

2. What items I should sell

3. How I should use my cash (skills/investment/etc.)

Currently I have a 130m stack along with ags, sgs, ss, zspear, staff of light, claws, acp, acs, a dragon set (plate + legs), bcp, tassets, dfs, fury, all the barrows sets, in addition to some smaller items such as whip, zerk ring, and regen.

Ideally I'd like to keep the bandos stuff, dfs, fury, and whip around for combat training. Also, is it a good idea to sell the other combat items right now? I'm not sure if they will rise up again since the return of the wildy means that supply only ever goes up due to pked stuff changing hands rather than disappearing for good.

Stats: 60 prayer, 83 magic, 79 ranged, 55 construction, 52 herblore, 70 crafting, 66 smithing

Thanks,

Aten

Sell the godswords seeing as their value will only go down, and sell the dragon set too. With the money get 95 prayer and and 85+ Herblore. To be honest, you are set for life on equipment and cash to get up your prayer and herblore.

Sell:

AGS- unless you pk and this is your spec wep, you have no need for one

SGS- only needed for healing in certain situations

Dragon Set- bandos is much better

Sell all barrows sets except ahrim and karil

Get extremes and 95 prayer.

Also, if you are going to be doing slayer, get a Dragon Defender. It has a higher dps than the DFS and the DFS should only be used in slayer for wyverns.

After 95 prayer definitely sell guthans. Also sell dfs if you have a dragon defender.

Lastly to save money on prayer you can do the void quest series for 50 commendations and 100 k exp in lamps, nomads requim for 70 zeal and Blood Runs Deep for 450 k exp. That got me from 75 to 80 and i believe saved me 20 mil.

In general sell luxury items for stats in prayer and herblore as money and items can be lost but those stats are yours to benefit from forever once you have them, as well as unlocking many better money makers to earn cash back for said items. Personally I would sell...

Claws (use korasi's sword for high def monster specs and dds for low def specs)

Dfs (almost no use if you have a d defender, or even a rune defender for that matter...)

Ags (worthless unless you're +1 world pking)

Sgs (easily replaced by an eee, bunyip, guthans, soul split, or a unicorn)

Z spear (korasi's plus d defender is better for stab, SS is better for crush. Keep if you corp)

All barrows sets but karils and ahrims

Dragon Set (worthless)

Regen bracelet (barrows gloves are always better)

I am slightly embarrassed to say I don't know off the top of my head what an acs is...

Don't buy anything item wise, but invest in herblore to 85+ and prayer to 95+.

Cleaning herbs to 80 and making unf pots with a scroll of cleansing will net you a large profit and from there you can stew to keep training. 85+ herblore and 95 + prayer is very doable with what you've got.

Cheers

Thanks for the tips guys, and yeah I have a ddef right now so I'll let go of the dfs. As for herb, what's the most effective way to train it? I don't have a scroll of cleansing right now.

Even though it's been said by the past replys I'll just go ahead and write a reply anyways:

Question 1:

Not many items need buying really I don't know about Korsais and I don't personally own one. However the spec seems to be pretty brilliant however the stats are the exact same as the ZS when combined with a Dragon Defender. Dragon Claws would therefore prove a more suitable choice as when you do dragon slayer tasks you can do claw spec (racking up good hits) and then ZS which would probably be better than or equal to Korsai. Don't forget to grab a Full Slayer Helm too if you slay. Also buy a seers ring, archers ring, and infinity boots, and a staff of light.. If you have money to really burn go for Ranger boots too. Other than that if you can, get a soulwars cape and you're sorted.

Also you are sorted for armour for your life when concerned with tanking, general slaying, mage def, mage slaying, ranging etc etc.

Question 2:

Sell:

AGS, SGS, Dragon Set, DFS, Guthans, regen brac.

Reasons:

Selling the Godswords because they're obsolete and pretty much junk.

Sell the Dragon Set because barrows and bandos armour surpasses it in every way.

Sell DFS because it's another obsolete item. It's only real use is at Skeletal Wyverns, other than that it's just for aesthetic appeal. Dragon Defender > DFS in pretty much every situation.

Sell the Guthans because again - obsolete with EE (when you can do the elite - EEE), Uni, and Soulsplit no one really uses it anymore.

Sell the Regen Brac because of Barrows Gloves being superior in every way shape and form.

Question 3:

Grab 85 herblore first to be in boosting range of extremes. If you want to... Go for 90 to be able to make all the extremes or even 96 for overloads. Be warned it comes with a hefty price tag, so I'd say 90 would be a good place to get to first.

The try and get towards 92 prayer for a start point with soulsplit but if you can and want to - go for 95 for turmoil.

That's really it. Then you'd be sorted for slaying and bossing.

Grimys sheet here will allow you to see all the methods open to you. Personally I did super attacks til 81 and then Sara brews from 81-85, Sup antifires from 85-88 then 2k of ext attack and strength. All in all costing me about 60M.

The market is expect to recover abit briefly until there are further news of new wild is coming, you should be able to rid some of your stuff now.

Keeping items maybe risky until the anticipated new boss and new amour is out, expected within this month as stated by BTS-Jan.

If there are delays, then items may rise, otherwise stuffs would crash.

Korasi's is much better than a z spear, same str bonus, higher stab bonus with a d def. On top of that you're only going to be using this at dragons with high def such as irons/steels/miths. On steels and miths for sure the spec is better because of the 100% accuracy whereas claws fail quite a bit.

All that not to say the other quest rewards (elite void, 100 k prayer exp, and 50 commendations) are well worth it and the sword only costs 250 k to replace. Much cheaper than a z spear.

So no reason to own the spear unless you corp.

Thanks for clearing up the acs deal. Sell that too. You only need the acp for subbing in the chest spot after you get your void deflector.

And lastly +1 for only going for 91 herblore. Stew from there.
