Sephy_
I decided I'll start bursting rock lobsters for 88 summoning and 90+ magic. The only problem is that I don't know if b robes have street atm? Should I be able to get them max in g.e or just head to w2? Thanks.
Lacoste
Last time I checked their street was a little higher then GE price, so around 5/6m
Zaaps1
From a quick check of forums + GEDB, it seems they do have street, but it's not terribly high (~4m for top compared to GE's 1.8m). At least not as high as when the tops were 15m (when I bought one lol...) ~It's Super Effective! Sephy_
Okay thanks. I think I'll wait for FT and see what happens. :P
LinkOlaran
I managed to buy a set of battle robes off of ge for max in the past week. Hood bought very quickly, bottoms later that day, and top a day or two later. So you should be able to get a set off of ge, if you wanted to and had the patience to wait for them to buy. Now I just need to get off my lazy rear and get to bursting, lol. Anyway, good luck with getting your robes and bursting :)
Quyneax
They are not really worth it by the way. I see you have 81 dg, which I take means you have one chaotic. This means you'll likely be able to make enough money at tds that battle robes are not worth it (note: even without chaotic you should be able to). In fact, bursting with battle robes is always less efficient than waterfiends charm-wise. 8 hours of bursting with them = 10.5 hrs (maybe 11-12 since you don't have turmoil/extremes) at waterfiends, with waterfiends profiting about a million in that period, bursting taking a recharge & a few million in bursts. Of course for magic xp, summoning is nice, but if you were to hunt tds, ranged would be more beneficial to you. You could perhaps cannon black demons (which is like bursting, but ranged). I'm not so sure about that. Waterfiends: 80k strength xp, 20k hp xp, 170 crims of xp per hour. Yeah, you can get up to 200, but unless you're on consistent tasks that's not happening.Rock Lobs: 110k mage xp, 60k hp xp, 220 crims of xp per hour. Every hour at Rock Lobs is then worth ~.75 hours of doing something like plankmake for mage xp. Worth 1 hour of SW for hp xp. An hour at WFS also gets you about .5-.75 hour of melee training. Off charms, 1 hour of rock lobs is 1.3 hours at WFS. So total hours: Rock Lobs: 3.05 (.75 mage, 1.3 summoning, 1 hp)WFS: 1.75 (1 melee, 1 summoning) There's an 700k different in cost per hour. (You said WFS profit 1m in 10 hours, so 100k profit per hour. Rock Lobs would lose 600k per hour with SOL and robes.) So you are paying 700k to save over an hour of work. If I did anything wrong, of course correct me. ~It's Super Effective! Vex
Since this question comes up daily, i'll take the time to write a full comparison - then feel free to copy paste it each time. I haven't done "efficiency" figures in great depth, Calculations etc [hide]Rock Lobs Crimson Charm: 56% 1/1 [swamp Titan (373.6)]Gold Charm: 28% 2/1 [barker Toad (87)]Green Charm: 13% 4/1 [Fruit Bat (121.2)]Blue Charm: 2% 25/1[Geyser Titan (783.2) ~ Crimson XP RatioGold: 1/4.2Green:1/3Blue: 1/0.5Crimson: 1/1 Assuming the charms are spent on those - this can obviously be modified, but this is usually the crux area of summoning (85-95) 270 per 1000 Burst, 500 Casts/hr Bursting Crimson = 135 Gold = 65 Green = 30 Blue = 5 Equivalent Crimsons Gold: 15Green: 10Blue: 10Crimson: 135 170 Crimsons per hour equivalent Actual Cost/hr w/ Robes = 250k Barraging 370 per 1000 Barrage, 500 Casts/hr Crimson = 185 Gold = 90Green = 45Blue = 10 Gold: 20Green: 15Blue: 20Crimson: 185 240 Crimsons per hour equivalent Actual Cost/hr w/ Robes = 500k Waterfiends AC Crimson = 80%Gold = 10%Green = 5%Blue = 4% Expected Kills: 150 per hr in AC & Effigy @ ~1/1000 (Assume effigy is used on summoning @ lvl 92+) Crimson = 120 Gold = 15Green = 7Blue = 5Lamp(per/hr) = 5800 Equivalent Crimsons: Crimson = 120 Gold = 3Green = 2Blue = 10Effigy = 15 150 crimsons per hour equivalent. For costs for Barrage. Rune Costs 20/01/11 [blood Rune: 365 * 2][Death Rune 327 * 4][Water Rune: 29 * 6] 1000 Barrage = (2142gp) *.50 (50% Rune Save) = 1.07M in COST per 2 Hours. + 20% Chance of saving ~350gp (avg death/blood) per cast.= ~70gp per cast (included in above barrage sum) Recharge Robes = 1.5Hrs of FOG (F2p world) every 8 Hours of Combat.Per Battle Robes you save - 4.3M in Cost. Thus if your income is < 2.8M an hour you should use Battle Robes. 1000 Barrages will typically give you ~370 Crimsons (treat the other runes as "free") Cost per Crimson = 2890 gp For Burst: [Chaos Rune: 51 * 4][Death Rune 327 * 2][Water Rune: 29 * 6] 1000 Burst = (1000) *.50 (50% Rune Save) = 500k in COST per 2 Hours. + 20% Chance of saving ~189gp (avg death/chaos) per cast.= ~37gp per cast (included in above sum) Recharge Robes = 1.5Hrs of FOG (F2p world) every 8 Hours of Combat. Per Battle Robes you save - 2M in Cost. (500k an hr can be made easily) If you are not using Robes, double the cost/hr.Since Battle Robes last 8 hours (of rock lobs), playing FoG and assuming you can gain the tokens in 90minutes (from personal experience). 90 minutes of FoG (burst) = 2m equivalent "gp"90 minutes of FoG (barrage) = 4m equivalent "gp" [/hide][/hide] TLDR EQUIVALENT CRIMSON RATES: Bursting: 170Barraging: 240Waterfiend AC: 150Waterfiend CT: 205 Some of that info should be of some help to people. The waterfiend kill rates probably aren't accurate as it varies a lot depending what familiar you have & if you have, void, overload, turmoil, maul etc. http://www.[Caution! Quyneax
Eh Zaaps, I didn't say charm-wise for nothing :P. The last sentence on my post is really garbled. I meant to say that if you were training magic anyway, bursting is good, but if you want summoning xp, don't bother with battle robes and use Ahrim's or do waterfiends. @VexWaterfiends crimsons/hr is about 130 at my stats (90-89-88 & maxed setup but off task) so that would go higher I assume (you have them at 120, so about 8% more would be an equivalent of over 160 crims/hr. Meaning you'll be paying 250k to save you 1/16th of an hour, which is 4m/hr excluding battle robe recharge (if you make that kind of money, recharging the robes isn't worth it). Or 8m/hr in Ahrim's or so. Then again your burst rates might get higher at better setups etc. Barraging is 500k + recharge to save 35/205th of an hour which is like 10 minutes, so 3m/hr income excl. recharge, but if you make that kind of money, battle robes are again not worth it. So battle robes can be good for summoning (pure summoning) if you can barrage but not do ct fiends. You would save 90/150 or 36 minutes paying 500k + recharge. If we take crimson drop rate at 80%, you can get 160+ kills/hr @ 1260 lp @ .4 xp/lp = 80k xp/hr (and 26k hp xp). In the chaos tunnels you're getting another third more kills with an iron titan which would give you defence xp, or about 26k defence xp. Familars train con as well I think? So that's around 8k more con xp for a total melee xp of about 106k and 35k con xp, off task.
