atticusako
So today i complete dragon slayer (whoop). Ive got 40 attack, strength, defence and range with 60 magic (my favorite combat skill). I dont plan on upgrading to members but i still want to work to improve this account. Are items like rune gauntlets, rune berserker shield and gravite weapons useful in F2P? I see plenty of people with berserker shields but havent seen any gravite items or gauntlets. So are they worth it and what gravite weapons is best. Thanks :)
wormy
Rune gauntlets are worth it for training; adding str and def bonus in the glove slot.I am not fond of the berserker shield, most people use an uncharged version for the +str bonus. Taking time away to charge the shield to me does not seem worth the +4 str bonus. Gravite weapons I would never train with them. Pking the grav 2h is a beast, just remember to set it to it's crush mode. If you turn into a range/2h pure to get the switch correct you will need practice(rapid on short=def mode on it) It is also useful for killing revs, but I would go as a team before you venture out to that dungeon. Quyneax
The gravite two-hander is probably the best f2p weapon that's even remotely viable to use (corrupt dscim is better stat-wise of course but entirely too expensive). If you have plenty of money (the kind you make in p2p) and tokens (again...) I'd consider using the two-hander. Otherwise, stick with a rune scimitar. The shield isn't worth it for anything but pvp (the time it takes to charge the shield nulls the time you save by hitting a little higher). nubbycubby
Gauntlets are a must; they're the absolute best for the glove slot in F2P.Rune beserker shield is a bit less useful. I wouldn't recommend getting it unless you have lots of FoG tokens to spare, and even then, only for PvP use.Gravite 2h has the best F2P DPS, outdamaging even the rune scimitar. For training, you *could* use it if you don't mind the loss of a shield. For PvP activities, the extra damage definitely helps. ☭
Grimy_Bunyip
isn't there a gravite rapier?it should be about 10% better dps than 2 hander for the lower accuracy.
Andy
isn't there a gravite rapier?it should be about 10% better dps than 2 hander for the lower accuracy. The rapier isn't really that great. The 2h is the speed of a battle axe, and hits a lot higher. The grapier is really, really un-accurate and has a low max hit.

In f2p combat you will rarley hit because of the full rune all the time, In all seriousness f2p wildy is a very safe place as long as you wear full rune and stay out of multi-combat zones. The only way you can get kills is have 99atk or 99 range, use a gravite 2h or best yet pk with sighted longbow and full rune (using r chain) . Back to op's question:Get rune gaunts they dont degradeGet rune zerker only if you have a lot of fog tokensDo not get gravite rapier or ls only get 2h 1,000 F2P Total Level Reached 10/8/10 ! Riemis
Why do people advise not getting a rune berserker? It lasts 5 hours of combat and only costs 30 tokens to recharge, thats maximum 4 games of FoG! RuneScape Revolution (Dutch)

It is more the time spent getting the shield recharged, before fog changed places the most practical would be varrok tele walk up to fog place, varrok tele then walk back to spiders, of course can be done quicker with gop tele tabs, but doing that every 5 hours of combat for a minimal gain for me is unpleasant. Youmu
No one mentioned the gravite staff/bow? Anyways my take is yes to the staff, no to the bow. Magic is your favorite skill correct? The staff gives a +5% damage bonus which, combined with the arcane blast necklace and magical blastbox, can do quite a bit of dps with magic.
