Haven't played in a while, Avies still a good way to make money?

Featured Replies

Hey guys. I just came back to RS after a long break and I have forgotten a lot of what I know. I used to make money from Green Drags but I can't now due to pkers.

I remember Avies used to be good money too. How much money can I expect from them if I have 75 Range, 49 Prayer, and 70 Defence? Also, should I use prayer pots or tank with B2P?

Is there any other way for a P2P noob like me to make money? The cc I am in says they make millions per hour, and I am looking for a decent way to make money as well.

Thanks!

I'd hesitate at millions, but they're pretty good. 500K-750K an hour last time I went with similar levels to your own (except I was prayer 70+). I'm sure someone more experienced than me could provide more detail or alternative methods.

Personally the question I'd ask myself is: Do I want to go to Avians? If the answer is 'Yes', go for it.

I'd love to go unless there is a better spot for making money with my levels. I heard Blue Dragons are good too but you need to tele back to falador, bank, and repeat, and they are pretty crowded last I checked.

blues are good. Better then avs definitely. Id suggest slayer while training though. You should be worrying about training, not making money, at your stats.

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).

They're decent. I'd advise tanking with b2p if you're able to do it easily enough. Adamant bars have fallen from 3k to just under 2.5k. I was managing maybe 400-500k/h when I was 88 range & 88 defence, but wasn't necessarily paying too much attention.

If you're looking for an alternative, I can't stress barrows enough. Your mage is a little low, but shouldn't be too hard to get to ~70 and you'll be able to do fine.

There's nothing wrong with taking your time and leveling. I enjoy having nice equipment - and makes training all the more fun.

Train your farming - once you have enough to plant ranarrs - you'll make 125k per run (at the minimum - usually around 150-175k ish)

It doesn't sound like a lot but it really only requires about 5-6 minutes per run :P

Remember to grab supercompost and do Fairy Tale Part 1 asap for the magic secateurs for the additional herb gain!

i agree with this man

I agree also.

Train your skill, so when you go to make gp, you hit more often = higher efficiency

in addition to being better money, killing bosses is more fun than grinding dragons or aviansies for pennies

not like he can boss with those stats though, unless you consider barrows a boss.

barrows if you want, i used to do a bit of aviansies for range xp and i found them decent.

i meant, focus on levelling so you can kill said bosses sooner rather than later

ah, i see. and agree. get levels from slayer and then use profits on summoning/prayer/herblore.
