Prayer urn Question

Featured Replies

No doubt someone has already tried it.. But my members has lapsed for a week or until I am bored enough to renew, and I want to know..

They worded the way urns work oddly in the update news. Do prayer urns act as a bonecrusher when fighting demons? Or would I have to scatter the ashes with the urn in my inventory in order to "fill" it? Likewise with ectoing them

The urns work like bonecrusher.

apart from the fact that it doesn't.

It picks up the ashes and puts them into the urn, where they can't be taken out. Once the urn is completely full(it tells you when it is quarter, half and three quarters full) you can bank it or teleport it away, after which you get the full xp. You can bank 10 full urns at a time.

So using an urn actually proves less xp then scattering them would, right?

You get more exp for having the urn and getting it filled.

I think the bonus is 20% or so.

20% from what though? I know you can't normally bury ashes so what would be the base exp for it?

The whole point of the prayer urns is to complement the actual changes to the ashes themselves, which are arguably just as significant of an update.

Impious ashes are 4xp

Accursed ashes 12.5

Infernal 62.5

With the urn, add 20%.

That's the info I needed, thank you.

So infernal is approx 75~ exp

But is it per ash or per urn?

Except based on the question of whether you have to pick them up or if its like bonecrusher it does.

Its per ash. When you teleport the urn away you get a few K prayer xp.

It's the same regardless of how you look at it.

20% for the whole urn = 20% extra per ash.

So lesser demons are the equivalent of hill giants in terms of prayer experience with an urn?

That's the exp per ash. The exp per urn is the exp per ash, multiplied by however many ashes it can hold, multiplied by 1.2.

To above poster: yeah, I think lessers/greaters have just become more awesome for F2P training, because suddenly they drop an item that's roughly equivalent to big bones. On the down side, F2P needs a way to make urns on Karamja now, for continuous training there.

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

4 exp for scattering Impious Ashes, .5 less than normal bones

12.5 exp for scattering Accursed Ashes, 2.5 less than big bones

62.5 exp for scattering Infernal ashes, 9.5 less than dragon bones
