Hegelstad
Scams. They work up trust by giving away small amounts of cash, then everyone says its legit, and a stupid noob trades too much and the scammer logs. Simply put. I've profited over 2 mil tho :) My lame drops:6 Effigys1 D Med - 1 D Dagger1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody
Troll Bomber
A scam plain and simple. If you're a good people person though, you can usually play it off you're some noob and that you're amazed each time he's able to double it, signifying that you're most definately going to give more money after each trade (start off with like 5-10k and walk away after he's doubled 50k tops). Then just up and stop once you've got a fair amount. I've made a couple of mil off this by acting like I have no idea how this game works so that they can "take advantage of me", then walk away with sevearl hundred K lol. Always remember though that this is a scam though and you CAN and most likely WILL lose money at a certain point if you're not careful.
Fornald
Why can't we just report these players then? Mind you, there are an awful lot of them... [Examine Goblin (level: 5)] This would be worth more cut.

Troll Bomber
so wait so you give them small amounts acting like a noob then when you made like 50k or so you just run away? It's just give and take. Sometimes you lose 100k or so or sometimes you make it. Tbh I don't see how "doubling money" is reportable, but "trust game" is not. Where does flower game fall on that list? imo that should be more reportable then either of the other two, seeing as other people can actually see whether or not the guy scams the bidder. Doubling money is reportable because there is no physical way for someone to double the money.Trust game and flower game are not, because they're just that, games. The trust game is people playing against one another in an attempts to offer the most for a possible reward. The flower game is just a gamble. While they can all inevitably end in scams....the way jagex described is that you should know the risks before participating in such activities Fisher/Woodcut------Me-----Miner/crafter----Stabber----Leecher ^Golvellius must be so proud^
Troll Bomber
Alright thank you for clearing that up for me. Hopefully the tables can't be turned on participants of the "double money" scam in terms of being reported if they actually make money.
Kthx
From what I've heard, the Gower's 4th brother named Shanaynay got jealous over their popularity and developed a money doubling machine to ruin the game economy. 100% legit. And it had to do on a small part for being a boy named Shanaynay

Some of those scammers probably make about 10k a day on average scamming like that. Come to think of it, a lot of you have been saying that 'Jagex has said this' 'Jagex has said that', well can someone please give me a link because you seem to be disagreeing over whether or not spamming 'Doubling money' is a reportable offence.
