Dire_Wolf
Ok, i went to Pyramid plunder and did a round where i got 9K exp +. Here is what i did, i opened the main treasure loot-the golden thingy in ever level and then proceeded to level 7 where i looted urns and so on. Is this a efficient approach to Pyramid Plunders? If not, what way then please? Also how long does Pyramid Plunder last each round, anyone know that? P.S I read on wiki long time ago that it's best to pick pocket the doors without lock pick for exp. That smart too?
Loffelicious
No lockpic. In the second highest room you can do, only check for snakes. In the highest room you can do, only loot the urns. Doing this you should still have time to open the golden chests on the way, and get the best xp. LitterBug
How do you pickpocket a door? Haha, I'm sure he meant lock picking a door without having the lock pick item.Your comment made me chuck though.
Saradomin_Mage
Each Pyramid Plunder round lasts for 5 minutes.Use the sceptre to teleport straight to the Guardian Mummy, so you don't waste time finding the correct door.In the second-last room, just check for snakes like Loffe mentioned. In the final room, check an urn for snakes, and THEN loot it. This reduces your odds of failure by a considerable amount. Alternatively, you may want to consider Monkey Fighters if you can, since you will be immune to random events, a major hassle on BXPW. Your comment made me chuck though. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

green9090
I've tried only checking for snakes in the second to last room and it seems worse to me. Better to loot as many urns in the second to last room as you can before you're a little under half time left, and then start looking for doors. Sometimes I even manage to loot all of the urns in the second to last and last room. Snake checking is less exp/second, as far as I can tell, so it's better to just loot less urns. Sy_Accursed
For pyramid plunder the golden chests in all but top 2 rooms, check snakes 1 b4 lastloot urns in last does give the best xp per RUN. But ignoring EVERYTHING in all but the last two rooms (where u do the snake/loot thing again) then exiting with time to spare gives better xp:hr I've tried only checking for snakes in the second to last room and it seems worse to me. Better to loot as many urns in the second to last room as you can before you're a little under half time left' date=' and then start looking for doors. [/quote'] This is a tricky issue, you need to do around half the urns for it to be better than snake checking. Theres about 10 urns per room (iirc), so for example room 7Snake checking them all gives 2250 xpLooting is 675xp so you need to make sure u loot 4+ of the urns for it to be worthwhile. Once you get ur timing down you can easily figure if u can do looting in room before last or not. Also if you use the method where u ignore the chest for better xp:hr you can usually 100% loot both rooms urn wsie unless u get unlucky with doors etc. Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Crossed_Body
Once you get ur timing down you can easily figure if u can do looting in room before last or not.It stops being manageable when you need to loot 71 and 81 rooms, not to speak of 91. Getting lucky with doors, you might have a chance of doing it, but expect lots of delay by trying to loot the second to last room.
green9090
I almost always manage to loot over half the 81 room and all of the 91 room. You get the same xp for checking + looting, as you would for straight up looting. It's just the xp comes half, then half.I've personally always found it better to check then loot, because you get those moments where when you keep trying to loot, you just keep getting bit over and over again, wasting much more time then you would if you just check + Loot. I never had trouble looting all the urns in the last two rooms (unless I had bad luck with doors, or they kept changing). I say it's worth it to check first, as you're more likely to spend less time at an urn, since the chance of getting bit that way are MUCH less. Lock pick is useless, it only makes opening doors easier....but you can spam click those things, and using a lock pick only lowers the xp you get from those. You want to get to the last room with about 25% of your time left. green9090
Er... You can get bit while checking the urns. It's not uncommon, either. Checking + looting will INVARIABLY waste time, the only reason to ever check would be instead of looting, because the animation is shorter. I've always gotten much better xp/hour checking before looting. Maybe my luck just sucks, idk.
