I only know the levels. Haven't been to aviansies in too long so Idk gear. Hope I helped.

Well, minumum stats for range is: 70 ( for getting across to the armadyl part of gwd ). I'd suggest 70+ defence. but 50 works too.

 

Gear

 

Helmet: torag/Neitiznot helm

Amulet: Armadyl pendant ( from temple of ikov quest )

plate: Saradomin d'hide body ( so saradomin followers don't pile you )

Legs/skirt: Torag/rune platelegs.

Shield: obby shield/granite shield

Boot: dragon boots/climber boots

gloves/vambs: Zamorak vambraces ( for zamorak followers not to pile you )

Cape slot : Ava's accumulator

Bolts: Broad bolts/mithril bolts

 

inventory: 1 trollheim teleport ( not needed, but highly suggested )

mithril grapple ( required for getting into the armadyl part of gwd )

50 bones to peaches tabs

100 high alchs ( to alch rune limbs/dagger drops )

varrock teleport tab

the rest swordies/sharks.

U can get to the advansies before the entrance. they are lower levels but full of people. I'd still recommend 70 range for the full black D'hide.

 

When I went I wore:

 

Helmet: Armadyl Helm

Amulet: Range ammulet

Legs/skirt: Saradomin Chaps

Body: Zamorok Body

Shield: obby shield/granite shield/Prayer Book if praying range and or eagle eye

Boot: dragon boots

gloves/vambs: Black d'hide

Cape slot : Ava's accumulator

Bolts: Broad bolts

 

Try getting 70 range at yaks with knives or something.

 

With regards to the B2P tabs. At 80 def a bunny and ee keeped me at full health. And make sure you use range pots.

You're probably better off with void (although I'm not 100% sure)

 

Either way - don't take an obby shield - you don't want negative bonus to range

let me give you a warning - aviansie are packed full of bots, and are terrible in both money and experience

I'd recommend at least 75 range, and if you're using prayer, 40 prayer for range prayer Make sure you DON'T have an armadyl item, for you want avansies to be aggresive at all times.

 

Otherwise, use torags helm + legs, k top, and some God items to protect from other minions.

^ That is awful advice. If you plan on going into the Eerie (requires a mithril grapple) which I highly suggest you do, you will absolutely need an armadyl item.

 

I find aviansies fairly relaxing and fun. Here's my setup.

 

Helm: Armadyl (Neit or Torag's if you need the defense)

Necklace: Fury (glory works or armadyl pendant if you don't have an armadyl item)

Chest: Saradomin Body (black dhide will work if you kill them in Eerie)

Legs: Verac's Skirt

Boots: Snakeskin

Gloves: Zamorak braces (needed if you plan on killing in Eerie or not)

Weapon: Rune x'bow

Shield: Granite/obsidian

Cape: Ava's accumulator

 

As far as levels go I would get at least 70 range and defense.

It's best to not have an arma item if praying, therefore they will be aggressive indefinitely, which allows for faster kills/hr, for you do not need to search for an aviansy to kill.

Best way to kill them would be as follows:

 

Monk Robes

Robin/Armadyl Helm/Archer Helm

Ranger/Snakeskin Boots

Barrows Gloves (Or best RFD Gloves), otherwise Vambs

Fury/Ranging Amulet

Accumulator/SW Cape

Unholy (Zamorak) Book

Rune Xbow/Black Knives

Adamant/Broad bolts

 

Never ever, ever use the Eyrie for Aviansies. People who do that are just plain Stupid. The levels in there are too high for efficient killing. Take some Alch Runes, 2 or 3 Ranging potions and Prayer Potions. Range Pray + 5% Ranged and you're off.

 

Prayer methos is by far the best option for Aviansies. It allows you to focus on a much more offensive Setup (in all aspects aside from the Monk Robes) and puts no focus on Defense which will always lower your Attack bonus. The idea is to have the Aviansies aggressive which means you have much less running around to do to kill them.

 

Like Bladewing said though, it's pretty much a botfest down there now so it might be a bit annoying. As far as bad money/exp goes. Its not great but it is decent. With maxed stats/gear you;re looking at 70k exp/h(maybe more seeing as i havent tried it out with rigour + ccbow yet). It used to be close to 1.2m gp/h but with current prices im not too sure.

Those are all the tips I can give, but I must say, there are better alternatives, such as chinning, for range xp, and other money making methods.

Elite void range w/ deflector, pernix top, fury, ranger's boots, alerter, morrigan's javelins. Short of spending millions on javelins, you should use elite void with karil's crossbow, praying rigour or eagle eye and using (extreme) ranging potions. Pray protect ranged.
