Gaming Keyboard

Lol, why do they bother putting WASD on there...The only reason people even use WASD is because it can get cramped with arrow keys and mouse real close. Plus there's lots of buttons around. But what's the point of printing THOSE letters over to the side, when there's already the regular part of the keyboard. Why wouldn't they just put arrows on them...Seems weird to me.

...WASD is like the default commands for Up, Left (or straft left), Down, and Right (or straft right) in nearly every First person shooter I have ever played on the PC. Its almost like the universal command. Same as "c" is usually for crouch and "space bar" is for jump.

And that specific part on the side seemed like it was specifically for gaming purposes. So it makes sense. Only took a quick glance at the buttons at least.

Yes, I get it...I've played many dozens of FPS. But why have 2 pairs of WASD on that keyboard (1 in the normal typing place, and one in the circular extension which makes it a "gaming keyboard"). Why, since it's in that circle anyway, do the keys have WASD on them. There's no need for it, when they could have easily put arrow signs on those keys.

And another question. Do those extra W, A, S, and D keys make letters when you open up a chat box?

Why do you need all those gimmicks?

The best keyboard for anything is the IBM Model M, the one I'm typing this on is over 20 years old and it's got at least another 20 years in it still to go. It won't break or wear out, it's completely strippable, and it provides the best tactile feedback of any keyboard ever ever ever. It's keys are far enough apart that you won't hit two at once, each keycap comes off for cleaning, it has no crappy windows key..

Some people are changed by being a moderator. I wouldn't be.

What may seem a gimmick to you is a feature to me :D

My current keyboard doesn't have that 6 key block with delete and insert ;)

However it's harder to find ones like that now :(
