New Barrows rewards

Featured Replies

You may or may not find it useful for the guide, but with the recent Ring of Wealth update, a few new items have been added to the list of possible rewards from looting the Barrows chest.

These drops include:

  • Prayer potion (2)
  • Restore potion (2)
  • Super defence (2)
  • x4 Shark

Some important things to note about my screenies:

  1. I do not bring Restore potions or Super defence potions with me on my Barrows trips.

  2. The Restore potion (4) was one I had combined from two separate Restore potion (2). I did not receive the (4) as loot from a chest.

  3. The Prayer potion (2) I have indicated originally spawned in the slot below my Chaos runes. While I do carry a supply of Prayer potion (4) with me to Barrows, I am 100% confident that the Prayer potion (2) was looted from the chest as it appeared away from my other potions.

I will post additional findings should I discover any.

Wait, why do you have bolt racks? I never get those when i go to barrows.. :o

My lame drops:
6 Effigys
1 D Med - 1 D Dagger
1 Verac's Helmet - 1 Guthan's Platebody

You doing KC? I never does because it's waste of time :P But really i've never got those, ever. Done about 50+ chests.

I get 5-6 KC every chest.

Also, I've updated my original post to include another additional new drop.

Ah well i see, KC doesn't increase barrow drops, so over time its more efficient to not get KC. I suppose that's why I've never had bolts :P

Well, that's a discussion for another topic, but if I'm going to get junk items, I'd rather get at least Bloods and Deaths. ;D

According to jagex, 1-10 killcounts have effect on drops, all but barrows parts (that only depends on how many brothers killed)

That was before the wealth update though, don't know if wealth allows for extra runes and pots, or helps for barrows items as well.

so I do 10 a run :D with wealth and I end up with more runes than i started with.

I'm loving this btw, doing barrows atm, I still have 4/5 pots I started with, and I'm on the 6th run now.

Here is what I got, first run with Ring of Wealth

notice the first run I didn't notice it gave me potions.. left pray and restore on the ground :o

so... Highly recommended to use wealth instead of seers/combat ring :D if your interested in drops :P (almost every run i get that your ring shines message)

It's not effective to get killcount, and 10 is definitely not worth it. The time saved by not getting KC could earn you a lot more than the occasional racks and runes you get.

Barrows items is dependant on barrow brothers KC as you said. Barrows items are what one should focus on when going to barrows :)

Whether or not killcount matters was not the intended purpose of this topic :). The OP merely is sharing information of the new drops from barrows after the RoW update.

That said, a lot of people get a killcount because they want to, or because they use Guthan's set to heal up.

Yes I am aware of that, but it is still an interesting discussion i don't know wherelse i could have had it.

General discussion would be a good spot.
