Making bank while skilling

I haven't been actively making cash and upon looking at my bank, I realized I don't even have enough to start stuff like flipping/slayer/normal money making methods (barely even enough to restock MTK -.-).

 

Anyways, I'm more of the type of player that prefers to kill multiple birds with one stone so it'd be nice if I could get some xp towards maxing out while making cash. I don't really mind if that means a bit slower xp or money rate.

 

Here's my options:

- RCing nats (but not 91 yet which means profit is minimal...)

- Mining conc coal after getting 77, then conc gold after 80

- Smithing cannonballs

- cutting mages

- Farming herbs

- Herby grimy -> unfs

 

That's all I can think of atm, I'd prefer something that'll provide me stable and consistent income (please don't suggest slayer, I haven't got enough luck for decent drops and I can't even afford to buy enough supersets/ppots for stocking right now). I will happily entertain any other ideas/suggestions ^^

Hmm, Do you have the scroll of efficiency (the herblore one) If so check ge prices, buy grimy herbs and clean them (if your looking for some exp .... try to go with a higher level one) and make unfinished pots and sell them.

 

Cutting Mages is horrible money, yews would be faster but that is mainly a bot market.

 

Cannonballs are horribly slow, both in exp and money wise.

 

Farming Herbs is amazing for money, use grimy's spreadsheets in the aow for an idea on what to grow

 

Honestly, if you can stand not skilling for a bit (skilling is a horrible way to make money anymore in this game with the sheer amount of bots) mort myre fungus is an excellent way to restock your supplies ... or recover from a hack.

 

Also are you doing your dailies (bstaves, broad bolts/broad arrows, yada yada yada) that is a decent amount of money there. Lastly, I think last time looking at Grimy's spreadsheets that unfinished broad bolts to broad bolts was a profit .. and one you can do while training agility or something else. Other than that I will let the amazing people here help you as I have been out of the game for a while now.

The profits are not going to seem large, ESPECIALLY in the short run. But then realize that you spend a maximum of 2 minutes actually merching stuff - and by the time you accrue a decent cashpile, you should be making 2-3M a day easily with pretty much no effort or time spent.

Pretty much. You should be making multiple herb runs per day and training something else in between.

No he's not....he's saying the opposite.

He's saying RC is the best.....and it's only half decent (I'd consider 1.2m+ decent, since the average RS player can barely make that other then making unf, which yields no xp).

 

Other then farming, skilling doesn't really pay well. runecrafting and mining runeite are the only even mentionable money makers from skilling, and those only top at like.....well...600k...

I think grenwall hunting with 99 would propably be the best skilling moneymaker right now, but even that's like 1.5m ph max. Other than that, although herbs are worse now, you should always farm torstols with scroll of life and farming juju.
