Smithing !!

So basically I want 70 smithing for 'The Void Stares Back' and I don't know how to go about it. My impression was that smithing is very expensive and to be honest I'd rather train prayer with my money. However I heard some kid going on about how you can get 99 smithing for 10m (TROLL?). Anyway whats the best method to level up smithing from 55 (that won't break my bank)?

You can probably get it and make money, cannonballs for example, it'll just be very slow and painful and inefficient.

 

If you need magic xp superheat or if you don't need magic xp superheat-smelt gold.

Superheating while smelting gold as Quyneax already mentioned is a good way to go about it. Costs about 3-4gp/exp ;)

What I did for 99 smithing was smelt gold ores with the gold gauntlets. It is moderate exp for a fairly low cost.

atm addy plates are about the same cost

or do something that profits like make iron knives or cannonballs

Addy plates require you to have 88 Smithing so you won't be able to train it that way.

I recommend you goldsmithing with gold gauntlets, its moderate exp and it doesn't cost alot. :)

Then again, if you want something even more chilled and relaxed, try cannonballs as mentioned. Makes a nice little bit of money and you can just kill a lot of time quickly with it as it's ~5mins per invo.

3 minute per inventory, but it's absolutely awful experience. You're much better off working with gold and making up the minimal cost doing something else

best way i found is super heating gold ore with gauntlets its 100kxp an hour with bout 100k magic xp but if u buy the ore it can split ur bank but save u money wen u craft them into item like bracelets u dont lose to much money

Superheating gold is pretty much the best way to go until level 88. With Gold Smithing gauntlets it's around 140k Smith xp, 132k Magic xp/hr and fairly cheap. I would suggest doing it at the Soul Wars bank since you don't get any randoms there and it's a 1-click bank.
