April 17, 201115 yr ok, so i watched some pk videos, and in several of the videos the person is able to spec with the korasis sword like 4 times in a row??? When he uses the spec, you can see a 60% drain, but then it jumps back up to 100% right after. Is he glitching spec pots or something? I know for sure it wasnt spec transferring. Go Chicago Bears! April 17, 201115 yr I'm pretty sure that it was spec transfer. I notice a lot of those, and it's really hard to see who is transferring spec to them, because i believe the spell has a wide range. If it wasn't spec transfer, it had to be a some sort of bug or glitch. And must have been stamped out within hours of being discovered as i didn't hear anything about it, and it would have been widely abused given the time. Hexiled Razz. Player since March 8th, 2005.
April 17, 201115 yr Stupid crappy ring from Dungeoneering rewards and knowing at what point your special bar restores at.
April 17, 201115 yr Author thats the link to the video, it definitely doesnt look like spec transferring, and it doesnt look like he is drinking any pots either between the hits. He also uses the spec more than twice in a row in certain parts of the vid, so it cant be ring of vigour either... very strange Go Chicago Bears! April 17, 201115 yr Frankly, the only way he could be doing it is with spec transfer before it was updated, or two specs with the ring of vigour. I'll take a look at that video if you tell me what times he does 4 specs in a row. Due to the way the video is edited, you don't see many clear attack sequences, seems kinda hard to tell for me. April 17, 201115 yr They all protect from melee, hehe. I think only spec transfer can do that. April 18, 201115 yr Definitely spec Xferring. People got wise to this and started having mage pray on their list of quickprays. This was a very crude method that only lasted for the first few days of New wildy, before people got wise to it. So what me and a couple of other people started doing was teleblocking, entangling, then doing a D scim -> claws -> claws -> korasi combo (with a ring of vigour.) This had the advantage of only needing one spec transferrer, and as long as you transferred right as they did the D scim spec, the energy would go to the person after the first claw spec (taking their bar from 0% to 100%,) and meaning you could then do the second claws and korasi. It was all about timing. D Scim would keep their protect from melee down for exactly 2 claw specs, they were bound and teleblocked, then a korasi finished them off. It made it so that you could literally kill any rusher if you got lucky enough with your specs. They couldnt pray, they couldn't teleport, and even if they spammed brews, it would be nearly impossible for them to tank 2 good claw specs AND a good korasi spec without any protection prayers. I personally made about 100M from it, but then a lot of rushers complained en masse, and they took spec transfer out of single again. It's a shame really. No one should be virtually invincible (like rushers are right now, as long as they have protect from melee up,) in the wilderness. They should either take out the ability to PJ (like in the old Bounty Hunter worlds,) or add this back in as a deterrant to rushers. JOIN CHICKENSWEEPERS TODAY!
