Warriors Guild Tokens

What do you guys think is the best way to obtain tokens (for Defenders) at the Warriors' Guild? To be honest, I'm not even sure if they're called tokens or points, the RuneWiki guide didn't make much sense.

Sorry if the wording was a bit confusing, I couldn't figure out how to word it right.

The best way to obtain your tokens is by fighting animated mithril armor. I'm sure you already know how the animators work, so I won't delve into that.

ooglog pool + shotput tokens should be the best if you're not going for variety.

So I should use the mithril armor method? Thanks. One more question, though, should I bring extra armor pieces in case some are destroyed?

QFT. However, if you're collecting the tokens for hunting Dragon defenders / Cyclopean helmets, you're probably better off collecting tokens of every type. It uses less tokens overall (but this evens out, since some of the tokens are harder to get), and more importantly, increases the chance of finding Cycolossus, getting Dragon defenders, and also increases your damage slightly.

If you're collecting the various types of tokens -

Animation room: Animated rune armor has a good tokens / lifepoints ratio, and tends to break less often. However, it tends to have higher defence too. Try them first. If you find yourself missing a lot, try Animated black armor instead.

Dummy room: Bring two weapons that can take care of all the dummies. Preferably, pick one that's good for all but one of them, and use another weapon for that last dummy, such as a Mace + Battleaxe.

Catapult: Probably the slowest mini-game, but there's really no two ways about it.

Shot put room: Like Grimy mentioned, finish "As a First Resort" and use the spring for infinite energy. That'll give you consistently good scores here without needing to rest, and very fast tokens.

Jimmy's challenge: Like the Shot put room, your energy matters. Use the spring to get infinite energy before playing this game to minimize chance of failure.

Ah, now I'm a whole new level of confused. Thanks for the reply, it was really helpful! Except...there's multiple types of tokens? I thought each activity gave a collective amount (I can't think of an equivalent mini-game) but does it gives different kinds, like the Mage Training Arena?

It used to be like that, until the Dragon defender update. Now, your tokens aren't items anymore, but stored as points instead. When hunting for defenders, it will ask you whether you want to use one kind of token, or some of each.

Above pretty well covered it but just to add the the variety thing:

The defender room in single token mode costs 20 tokens a minute.

However in multi-token mode:

1) It cost 3 of each token type a minute (total 15 tokens a minute)

2) Drop rate of defenders is increased

3) More odds of Cyclossus spawning (and he has the best dragon defender drop rate)

4) you get +2 damage to all hits while in there

5) All noted drops will be maximum amounts (some are good for resale to make up for time spent)

Each activity give its own token type:

Animated armour

Dummies

Catapault

Shotput

Jimmy's challenge.

Hence 3 tokens of each = 15

Thanks, that cleared everything up nicely. Well, off I go to get some defenders I guess.
