Neos_Matrix
I'm using this setup to camp at Ancient Mages but I'm still getting attacked by Blood Reavers. If the minimum was 95 Magic Defence, how come they're still aggressive? Any help would be appreciated. Barrows Items: 1x Dharok's Platelegs, 1x Veracs's Plateskirt, 1x Dharok's Greataxe, 2x Torag's Platelegs, 1x Akrisae's War Mace, 1x Ahrim's Robeskirt, 3x Akrisae's Robetop, 1x Guthan's Warspear, 1x Akrisae's Robeskirt, 1x Torag's Helm, 2x Verac's Brassard, 1x Karil's Pistol Crossbow
Saradomin_Mage
Aggressiveness is not based only on equipment bonus, but overall effective defence bonus. If your magic and defence levels aren't 99, chances are you'll need more magic defence than that to keep the reavers off. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Quyneax
Be sure to use overloads or something, also, replace that ring with a useful one even if it's just a seer's ring & use a helmet of Neitiznot. But at your magic level, you might need a spectral. I know the nezzy has other bonuses that outweigh those of the FSH but wouldnt the extra mage defence of FSH be more important to keep the reavers off you? For some additional magic defense bonus you could check out -1.) Mage Book2.) Void Knight deflector (has a pretty balanced def stat bonus)3.) One of those cheap elemental workshop shields4.) Those broodoo shields from that stupid minigame
Saradomin_Mage
The only problem is that any of those suggested shields will throw off his melee defences, causing warriors and rangers to wreck him.As Quy said, he'll probably need Spectral to muster enough magic defence. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Quyneax
Could look into Karil's skirt/dragonfire shield combo. SpikeStr1ke
I was using k top v skirt v helm fury sws cape barrow gloves rapier d boots and d def they were non aggressive without potting any stats Thats about the same setup i used except i used whip instead of rapier. However, at only 85 mage and 94 defence it wont provide the appropriate stats for the OP to be safe from all monsters in that area including the reavers.
