Slayer List

Hey guys, I've been working on getting some skill/items before I started slayer and I'm finally ready.

 

I have standard slayer gear + extreme.

I piety/cannon all my tasks.

 

As soon as I finish up getting a few more rewards - can anybody suggest a task list?

 

I'm looking for mainly slayer exp (as opposed to charms/profit/etc)

I am willing to cannon any task, or do whatever is necessary to get the most exp/hour.

Generally, I want this list to be sustainable - and I shall switch to Kuradal as soon as I get 75 slayer (unless somebody else will give faster exp)

*Additionally, I will not mind spending extra gold per task although nothing crazy like barraging in sight.

 

Additionally, are they any quests I should complete to unlock certain things? (i.e the cave where you can cannon Kalphites?)

 

This is the list of slayer tasks to do. I will be updating this in accordance to the advice that you guys give.

-Black Demons

-Gargoyles

-Hellhounds

-Ice Strykeworms

-Kalphite

I have blocked: jungle strykewyrms, desert strykewyrms, fire giants, warped tortoises and gargoiles. Spiritual mages are a good block too, maybe dust devils. Focus your block list on Kuradal tasks as that's the master you will be using. Don't unlock aquanites.

 

Then skip stuff like spiritual mages, dust devils, wyverns and waterfiends if you are going for xp. The last two are great charms though. Living rocks are mainly low charms and effigies but otherwise ok xp. Metal dragons are lowish xp.

What have you been smoking? Whatever you do, dont EVER unlock aquanites:) Gargoyles are fast and easy in kuradals dungeon, especially if you unlock the quicker killing blows. Dont skip fire giants, they are quite fast if your using a cannon. Tzaar is a botfest. If you like competing with a ton of bots for every kill......:S Spirit mages isnt a bad task either. The exp isn't great but you could kill about 200 in 40/45 mins with usually some dragon boots so definately not worth skipping...

Quy said to not unlock aquanites - I assume that was just a mistake on your part.

As I said earlier - I'm not going for money, I need to get my slayer up (trying to level up my total for now). While a few dragon boots may be amazing - I have more or less all I need for slayer (minus some summoning/turmoil).

 

Where do you cannon fire giants? I tried it in the smoke dungeon near Polli and tbh it sucked. There was like 4-5? fire giants in the room and the cannon catch the dust devil a lot of the time :/

Should I skip the dragons? I think I have a bit of tokens saved up from playing FoG when I was f2p (that was more or less all I did)

I've done the metal dragons a few time and they take forever (even with a rapier). Should I get dragon slayer glove for the metal dragons or should I skip them altogether? How about for the normal colored dragons - green/blue/red/black?

 

What exp/hour should I be expecting? (Slayer only - not including the use of effigies which I will be saving until I can unlock them all myself.

What combat exp per slayer am I looking at (with and without range)? I want to get 99 slayer without going overboard and maxing my combat. I do plan on getting 95 magic to fire surge a few tasks (low defense/strykeworms) and I wouldn't mind getting rigour to range a few tasks either?

Yea, I agreed on the aquanite part;) I don't like the fight cave challenge, it takes to long without any drops/charms etc.. (not counting the firecape). Skip all dragons if your going for the fastest exp (mithril dragons might be an exception, it's such a short task that it's not wort spending points to skip it...) It seems it comes down to personal preference on spirit mages

25k+ xp for less than 30 mins of work, how is TzHaar not good xp?

As for fight caves, once you get good at it, you should be able to do it in under an hour. My personal best time is 47 minutes and 48 seconds (that was for my fourth fire cape, and I only use deflect prayers to kill Jad, so I could still shave a minute or two off my time if I meleed Jad (I also don't use turmoil on the task for fear of running out of pray pots, so again I could shave more time off my 47 minute time)).

Anyhow, to get back to the thread -

 

Is there anybody can post some of the better slayer tasks (that I should do) along with approximate slayer exp/hour? Or rates per task and how long it takes the task?

Hoping to compile a list that can be used in the future.

Of course, if there's a innovative way to complete this task - I love to know about that too.

 

However remember, that I'm going for EXP rates not profit and not so much charms. I'm fairly certain that I'll get 99 summoning before 99 slayer (I am planning to burst rock lobs to level up to fire surge)

Dagganoth (cannon under Lighthouse).

Black demons (cannon under Taverly).

Dark beasts (cannon under Temple of Light, not Kuradal's).

Aberrant spectres (cannon under Pollivneach).

Black dragons (cannon in the Evil Chicken's lair).

Hellhounds (cannon in the resource dungeon).

Bloodvelds (cannon under Meiyerditch).

Greater demons (cannon in the Forinthry dungeon).

Kalphites (cannon in the Do No Evil cave).

Suqah (cannon east of the Livid Farm).

Ice strykewyrms (cannon).

Tzhaar (Jad under 45 minutes).

 

You can also do blue dragons (cannon in resource dungeon), nechryaels (chin or steel titan in the Chaos Tunnels), living rock creatures (cannon) and maybe terror dogs (steel titan) if you need more points.

 

Iron/steel/mith are worth doing imo but they are not the fastest xp. I also do wyverns and waterfiends for charms, I recommend keeping those for triple charms (one task a week).
