kwimbob
Heh, I found this post on the RS forums about the point and I found it pretty interesting: It would be comparable to how dragon chain is for melee. It is the best non-degrading mage armour, however costs a bundle more than its stats would imply due to its rarity (Also... it came out of a nonsense post saying the "infinite" full robes, book, and staff give infinite any runes, lol... and eventhough infinite elemental runes isn't completely impossible, it's been proved false) Combat 116+; Total 1900+; All Hard Tasks; (Nearly) All quest points; (Nearly) All skills 60+; An aquatic moose ninja.Currently: Using 63 hunter to get some of those "Chins", then I'm going to range stuff down. Interruptions of agility when I feel like it, as well. And lucky enough to get 4 Dragon and 6 Barrow Drops.[hide]Kwimbob now looks exactly like me in real life except for hair color. Yes, this means I look exactly like the protagonist of that certain anime that my second character, Faye_V is also named after. Yes, I bought a jacket that also looks like his. No in real life I don't have a slain bear to sling over my shoulders. Yes, I'm that skinny even if I no-life it for years in basements. No, I can't shoot a gun. Yes, I can win any other strategic video game you have never played - because I probably have, ahahaha. And yes, I also have brown eyes, yet one of my eyes looks different from the other. And yes, I'm completely oblivious to the [real] world around me as I constantly engineer new solutions to daily problems in my head. When I get hungry, all that isn't food can wait. When I'm sleepy - nothing is of any priority in front of sleep. But at any other time, I never slow down. Never give up. Never Surrender. Makes for a good life.[hide]YOU'RE GONNA CARRY THAT WEIGHT.- See You, Space Cowboy.[/hide][/hide]

tewas
very posible. if top is +22 mage, then whole set would be around +50 mage, add +15 wand and +20 book and u get close to +100 mage att bonus. thats crazy 1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb. 02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb. 07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.Prayer is good for herbs
Satenza
I wants me some robes. With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

hmmsk
any1 knows if the new robes are tradeable/untradeable? They are tradeable, and about it being rare yes, but i think the WHOLE set would be like d chain not certain parts because parts are not so hard to get, just spend some time on it, and you only need a mage lvl of what? 31 (is that waht you need for telegrab?), so lots of ppl can get it unlike the d chain where only lvl 100+ can solo. 18/22 skills at or better than 60.1300+ skill total.Barrows:Torag's Helm x2, Guthan's Helm, Guthan's Warspear, Dharok's Greataxe, died to dharok, Guthan's Platebody, Ahrim's Hood. All in a total of 104 runs.
kwimbob
The good thing about this set is that: if you have the skills, you will get it. If you get the runes and use them, you will get the set. Dragon, though, even if you can kill the kq or dust devils, is so rare that even with the skills some ppl just can't get it.... The really really weird thing about the set, though, is that the robe top part is the cheapest part? All the other pieces of the robe cost more than the robe top, which is really weird as the top is alsways the most expensive because it gives the most bonuses of the set.... gotsol
nice idea, i saw someone selling the mage book for 31mil its so insane RSN: 1 day late | Private chat: On | 60 ATTACK | 81 STRENGTH | 72 HITPOINTS | | 80 MAGIC | 13 PRAYER | 1 DEFENSE | 65 COMBAT |
Drift_In_Blood
Hrmm, it seems to me that it shouldn't be worth as much or more as the d chain for a whole set, just because higher levels are too lazy to spend a day to get the set :/

fireball0236
Maybe the simple reason that the top is cheaper is because Jagex learned something? No PKers would use Mystic top for the simple reason that it protects over Whip. And they probably made it so this top doesn't? Seems logic to me.
