Best Technique for Fast Sc?

I want to get the most points possible. Should I only go for C5/C4 until everything is burnt out, or should empty everything I come across? You'd assume I'd go for all C4/C5 but I only end up getting 45k each game D:

45k points seems like a nice amount :o

Are you using a familiar?

Thats the only other thing I can think of that would increase your points.

Hi if you're reading this you are amazing and I love you.

Maybe they'll release a bugless update for April Fools. That'd sure be a joke

If I recall correctly (it's been a while), when you play a Fast Sc game, since there's generally a lot less people than if you played in the official world, the map is much smaller. Which means a lot less resources are available, meaning you won't be able to get as many points.

I used to easily be able to pull off 80-90k points or so playing in the official world, but that dropped down to maybe 30k when playing with Fast Sc.

45k points is fine, you'll make up for it in the long run because of the shorter games.

Isn't there a maximum amount of points you can get from SC anyways or something? After a certain amount of points, it doesn't matter as much (I think.)

Squab unleashes Megiddo! Completed all quests and hard diaries. 75+ Skiller. (At one point.) 2000+ total. 99 Magic.
[spoiler=The rest of my sig. You know you wanna see it.]

my difinition of noob is i dont like u, either u are better then me or u are worst them me

Buying spins make you a bad person...don't do it. It's like buying nukes for North Korea.

Well if it bothers you that the game is more fun now, then you can go cry in a corner. :shame:

your article was the equivalent of a circumcized porcupine

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

Basically, after 34000 it becomes a lot harder to squeeze out extra reward points. I'd say if you can consistently get 34k+ you're fine.

It's often worthwhile to go scout the corners of the map immediately after the game starts. If you can find a c5 resource nobody else knows about, that's a pretty big point earner. If you can't find something fairly quickly, settle for a c4 and get yourself a c4 tool for that resource asap. Then next inventory make a pouch, the rest of the tools, and scrolls. Then load up.

The less people at the resources you find, the better. Sticking with the group will get you fewer points.

^That's how I 'won' my only fast sc game ever. I called the rock and nobody came, so I was basically mining c5 the entire game :P. But yeah 45k pts seems very good for fast sc.

I wouldn't really bother with C5 stuff, unless you're well over 90 in that skill. Just do the c2-4 stuff, that's how I dominated almost all of the FastSC games I did. Mainly the C3's though.

Also, getting over 40k in FastSC games is pretty nice, although I always aimed for 50k+ (And usually succeeded). :P

False. Non cb/fast SC is based on getting 34k+ points and after that, just finishing as quickly as possible.

Fast SC discourages not calling resources though, as it might slow down the overal game.

Oh, I don't use a familiar. I just hold all my arrows until I get to the base at the end to deposit. Will it increase my score that much?

Yes, they act as a BoB and decrease the amount of times you have to run to a kiln.

A c5 rock in the corner is not going to be the last resource exhausted. The limiting factor to how fast the game can end is how quickly all the 1s and 2s can be found. The argument can be made that as a whole it's better for everyone to stay at the same rock, but from a personal perspective, it IS better to find your own hidden resources and gain more points, getting 2-4 more points per round.
