My brother tried to dismiss my points as meaningless by saying "it's just a movie" and he prides himself as one of those "movie buffs" (who, in reality, just loves to gossip about celebrities' lifestyles which I couldn't give two [bleep]s for).No, it's more than that. Films are one of the staples of what society considers art and should have some degree of originality and quality. A movie like Avatar should at least make the effort to be groundbreaking in story style as well as its graphics. Otherwise, it basically proved a movie only has to look really good with only a semi-decent plot that is attractive enough. I could keep going if I wanted to, but I am ending it here. I am not dissing a movie by its graphics (in fact, I encourage it), but they should put the effort into the creativity and have some dignity too.
