Vezon Dash
Is there ever a time where piety gives better bonuses than turmoil? I mostly slay (Kuradal tasks) with the occasional killing random things like roaches and stuff. So what tasks (if any) should I use piety instead of turmoil? Aiel
I think just waterfiends. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). Hedgehog
Waterfiends, spiritual mages, aberrant spectres because they don't have att or str levels.

TC3
Yes, those are all the tasks I can think of that piety would be better but keep in mind that you wouldn't have access to soulsplit which would make the use curses better anyway.
JacTise69
Spiritual mages should be skipped, aberrent spectres it matters very little as they should be cannoned and on waterfiends its not worth the loss of soul split. Quyneax
Spiritual mages should be skipped, aberrent spectres it matters very little as they should be cannoned and on waterfiends its not worth the loss of soul split. All this applies, plus that deflects do work at abberant spectres, so I'm not even sure piety would mean faster kills. If you switch prayers/curses in one minute total, it'll still slow down your spectre tasks if you switch back and forth each task. I honestly take very little damage from WFS. Bunyip is enough to keep up.

I honestly take very little damage from WFS. Bunyip is enough to keep up. As I recall, it's better to use a fighting familiar in the chaos tunnels, though I could be wrong. I don't have soul split yet, so it became very difficult to kill them there and keep health up, but I'm sure with soul split it would be better. Once you have turmoil, piety is pretty useless. That being said, if you don't have turmoil yet then using piety is obviously worth sacrificing deflect prayers.
Quyneax
If your combat familiar is a geyser titan, I'd go with the ancient cavern. But wolpertingers and up are worth using with soul split. But wolpertingers and up are worth using with soul split. I have no means to be doing them in the CT. With only 80 summoning, no maul, and 99/85/88 melees, I would just be super inefficient. Assume Nothing
Well, the few situations where you'd want to change your prayer book would generally be where you'd want to range, which is pretty much Jad tasks (only if you don't like meleeing though). The lack of soulsplit at CT wfs isn't worthwhile, Spirit Mages are considered poor tasks anyways and Aberrant Spectres ought to be cannoned (thus Deflects are superior). It's also worthy of noting that Piety drains at a significantly faster rate than Turmoil too (extra bank trips can counter any marginal benefits of faster killing ability)
